Sunday Morning Worship

Today at the Agape Missionary Baptist Church we kicked off our 8th year Church Anniversary. Our scripture today was Jeremiah 6:23, 7:2-8. The message that God gave us was "This is God's Church".

I believe that the time is now for us as a church to be spiritually aware of the times that we are living in but also aware of the presence of God in our lives or the lack there of. God wants to be in complete control of our lives. God wants to be invited in, he will only operate out of our will for him to do so. As a church family, it is important to know that God wants the best for our life. It is so important that we go from relating, what we have heard, to relationship what we know about him.

As a church  family we must come into a community of love, power and the grace of God. As we celebrate 8 years know that God has completed something in the life of our church and is ready to present us with something new. God wants to give us individually a fresh start and collectively. Embrace the power of his presence. Don't stop until you get all that God wants you to have. Find a place to serve. Cherish the fact that if it were not for his grace or mercy we would be consumed. Remember when they counted us out but God counted us in.

Agape this is a brand new day for us as a church family. The favor of God is on our church. As a church family over these 8 years we have had some good days and some not so good but here is what I have  come to know, God has never left us.  I am so excited to servant leader.

Our message today gave us the primary reason why we come to church and who really comes and for what reason they come. I really hope you take the the time to read the scriptures and verses.

So much was said in our message but here are the points of interest.

Reasons why we Worship!!!

1. God has given us his Redemptive Power. Romans 3:22 Even the Righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all that believe: for there is no difference.

2. God has given us Resembling Power. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made himself sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the Righteousness of God.

3. God has given us Reconciling Power.  Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

These are just a few notes from the sermon today. The Holy Spirit really gave us some insight on why we come to church and do what we do. I am so excited as we head to that great day of celebration.

Take the time to study the Word of God and watch God change things.
