Morning Glory ( Take Off Thursday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Take Off Thursday. Our message today was " The Judgement of Temperance". Our scripture today was Galatians 5:22-23 and Ecclesiastes 3:17.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. Meekness, temperance; against such there is no law

I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and every good work.

The Holy Spirit has in it nine manifestation fruit gifts. These gifts are the gifts of love. These gifts show us how we are to live and they also give us the road map to handling every situation of our lives. These gift eliminate the excuse card. You and I because of these gifts have no excuse. The primary reason for the operation of the Holy Spirit is to lead and guide us into all truth.

This week we have dealt with the final manifestation fruit gift temperance. Temperance is having self control, restraint, to be able to do things in moderation. It is important that our witness does not come into question because we lack self control. The Holy Spirit is the enabler to help us with temperance. We must employ the Holy Spirit in the area of temperance to the situations that come up in our lives that we cannot handle in our human capacity.
Ask the Holy Spirit to come in every situation of your life. Don't allow the enemy to take control of your flesh. The flesh is an enemy to God. Yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and watch all issues get resolved in a Kingdom manner.

Our secondary text let's us know that it is a matter of the heart. It is God that is going to judge the righteous and the wicked. At that time every purpose and work will be evaluated by Lord Jehovah.  God is a righteous judge. God sees everything that you and I do. In this season of your life it is going to come down to the matters of your heart. What are your motives? What was your intent? Why could you not operate with self control. Why didn't you allow the Holy Spirit to take over in that situation? In everything you and do the Holy Spirit becomes the teacher. The question that needs to be ask, are we teachable? In everything you and I will face in life a lesson is available for us to learn.

Allow the Holy Spirit to take control of your life. Ask the Holy Spirit to assist you in this area of temperance and you will get different results. We all need to apply self control to our lives.
