Morning Glory (Take Off Thursday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Take off Thursday. Our message today was "Eliminate the Folly". Our text today was Ecclesiastes 2:12-13.

So I turned to consider wisdom, madness and folly; for what will the man do who will come after the king except what has already been done? And I saw that wisdom excels folly as light excels darkness.

Folly - the state or quality of being foolish; lack of understanding or sense. A foolish practice, idea, absurdity.

Our inspiration today let's us know that we must get rid of the folly or better yet foolishness. You and I must try to eliminate all foolish activity and thoughts from our day to day lives. In our human capacity it is a daunting task. The Holy Spirit is our aid in helping us make wise decisions.

Scripture teaches us that wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get an understanding. You and I are faced with so many things on a day to day basis. We need to make sure that we invite the Holy Spirit in to help us in every area of our life.

Brother Solomon is letting us know in our text that wisdom excels over foolish behavior and thinking just as light excels darkness. It is important that we learn to hear from God and know the heart of God in every situation of our life. God wants the best for our life in order for us to receive His best we must posture ourselves as yielded vessels so that He can give us clear directions concerning anything in our lives and use at his pleasure. Proverbs 3:6 , In all of thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. We must honor God first. We must ask Him first to give us the directions so we eliminate the folly.

If we ask God to lead  us He will. If we ask God to oder our steps He will. To eliminate  the folly in your life and in my life it is going to take the wisdom  of God. Our ways are not His ways, our  thoughts are not His thoughts.  You and I need to yield  ourselves  to Him because He wants us to experience the best  life possible.  Eliminate  the folly.
