Morning Glory ( Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today  was" I tried and it Just Won't Work". Our scripture  today was Mark 11:25-26

And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have an ought against any: that your Father also in heaven  will forgive you of your trespasses. But if you don't  forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

So many times  you and I have run into situations where we have tried to make our connections or relationships work only to find out that they are not working. I believe it is because there is something that we are attracted too or not attracted too that causes the relationship to malfunction. It is because of communication breakdowns, hurts or pains. It is important to understand that in relationships we must always first take a look at ourselves when things are just not going the way they should go, in other words, if they are not in sync.

As a believer it is important to understand and know that God always wants us to look at ourselves first when it comes down to relationships. It is imperative to know that as we face a trial and or tribulation, if we are going through struggles and situations why not take a look at yourself first. I believe that if we take a look at ourselves first, we will find out that there are some things that we have done, have not done or are doing that has caused the relationship to malfunction.

What we need to understand is, self-evaluation is always important. I believe two people are part of the problem in two people are part of the solution. If the  relationship is not working one would have to ask the question, am I operating in love ( Fruit of the Spirit ) and forgiveness. Scripture  teaches  that the two go hand in hand, the are brother and sister.

Yes we need to walk in love and forgiveness. Today I would like to focus on forgiveness. It seems for the most part you and I understand the love aspect even though at times it can be challenging. On the other hand forgiveness seems to be even a greater  challenge.

Our scripture  today  let's  us know that Jesus  himself while speaking to the disciples says that we must forgive. There are many reasons why relationships  don't  work.  The primary  reasons why they  don't work is because of conflict,  hurt, pain, communicating problems and disappointments. Yes,  if the truth be told not all relationships  will work but how we function  in and out of it is so vital. Jesus always looks at the heart first. Forgiveness comes from the heart.

As a member of the Body of Christ, forgiveness has got to be a way of life. If you have tried and it seems the relationship  just isn't  isn't  working,  keeping  in mind there was some negative action that took place, find out if you are operating  in the area of forgiveness. Jesus says here in our text, "If we don't forgive others neither will our Father in heaven forgive us of our trespasses". I understand  this is really  a hard thing to  do at times but ask the Holy Spirit to help you. The Holy Spirit  is waiting  on you and I to ask for the help. In and of itself,  it is almost impossible.

If you are trying to make any relationship  in your life work and it seems like it just isn't
working, evaluate  your heart, are you walking in love but most importantly are you walking in forgiveness?

God wants you I to be in loving, thriving and caring relationships, walking in forgiveness is key.
