The Message of Grace Part 1 ( Morning Glory - Instructional Wednesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday.  Our message today was, "The Message of Grace Part 1." Our scripture today was Romans 6:14.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

As we consider the subject of grace.  It was never meant for man to live up under any laws. From Genesis 1:27 - 3:8, we see the relationship with God and man but we also see the disconnect from man with God. By one man's transgression sin entered into the world.

Grace- the free and unmerited favor of God as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.  Grace is the finished work of Christ. Everything that you and I need is in Christ. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law.

The reality that you and must face and accept is, God sent his only begotten son into the world  that whosoever believeth him should not perish but have everlasting life. Ephesians 2: 8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; that not of yourselves : it is a gift from God: Not of works lest any man should boast. Christ came for all and died for all and will be gladly given to those that receive him. Romans 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou  shalt be saved. It is only by the grace of God that you and I are not consumed. Once again grace is the finished work of Christ. The message of grace is, Christ completed everything for you and I. The true reality is when I understand the New Covenant I understand grace. If don't accept the grace of God or walk in the grace of God, sin has dominion over me. Romans  6:14 which is our scripture for today. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law but grace.

We cannot stop ourselves in our human capacity to live right, we need the grace of God. There are at least 613 do's and don'ts  in the bible. As a member, up under the New Covenant,  we are govern by the Holy Spirit and not the Law of Moses. 2 Corinthians 3: 7-9. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious,  so what the children of Isreal could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away. How shall not the ministration of the spirit  be glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

The Holy Spirit is the leader and guider into all truth. I am not able to keep laws, I have to be lead by the Spirit.  The law is the breading ground for sin to grow. We need the grace of God. 

On this Instructional Wednesday here is what God is saying to us:

1. Fellowship with the Father is better than keeping any laws. That's grace.

2. Grace is understanding the New Covenant.  That's grace.

3. Under the curse of the law sin is increased.

4. The law encompasses  the nature of sin, it is the breading ground.

5. As a member of the New Covenant I am govern by the Holy Spirit and not by the Law of Moses. That's grace.

6. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to foster a right way of living....That's grace.

7. The strength of sin is found in the law.

8. Live to grace and die to law, we are to be dead to the law.

9. Under grace sin has no dominion.

10. Grace teaches us not to want to sin.

11. Grace says, " I believe and Thank You "

12. The requirements of the law have been met in us...Romans 8:3

13. Living up under grace is implemented by the ministry gift of the Holy Spirit.

Do We Really Know Him ( Morning Glory- Instructional Wednesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday.  Our message today was "Do We Really Know Him". Our scripture today was Psalms 119: 11.

Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.

The greatest thing that you can do is accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Once you have accepted Jesus Christ, your new life begins.  Our life now belongs to Christ, for him to do as he pleases. The reality that you and I now face, is the reality of complete obedience. To truly know who God is will take the act of obedience. When we obey God we have the heart of God and true fellowship begins.

It is through fellowship that we know Christ. Our fellowship involves a prayer life as well as the reading of the Word of God. Never fall out of fellowship with the Father,  it is in fellowship that our relationship with the Him grows. As a member of the Body of Christ your desire should be to grow spiritually.  Never get to the place where you think you have arrived. So often times we have been guilty of falling out of relationship (sin) because we neglected to have devotion with Him.

Ephesians teaches us that we are in a constant battle,  that battle is the flesh verses the spirit. Remember you are in the world but not of the world. You and I were born in sin and shapen in iniquity. We came in the world sinners but once we have accepted Christ it is his blood that covers and washes us clean.

Everyday you and I should  want to know more and more about God. It should never be a time that we are not in fellowship.  It is through fellowship that there is a clear understanding of who He is. I know longer want express my love for Him by another's experience, I want to express my love for Him by my own experience and that only happens through personal encounters with the Father. To really know God is to really love Him.

If you have been following any length of time you know that Wednesday is set aside to hear the voice of God in a clear and concise manner. We are tuned in, to hear prophetically what God has to say. Here is what the Holy  Spirit spoke to us.

1. Get to know God through His word.

2. Relationship with God requires commitment.

3. Walking in the light/Christ, eliminates sin.

4. Obedience is the factor in honoring God.

5. Yield to God for positive results.

6. Your confidence should be in Christ and him only.

7. God says, " I will always be with you."

8. In the presence of God there is joy.

9. The Word of God gives direction.

10. When I obey God, I have the heart of God.

What A God!! ( Morning Glory - Praise Him Friday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Praise Him Friday. Our message today was " What A God". Our scripture today was Psalms 145: 8-9.

8) The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

9) The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His works.

What a God! Today on Morning Glory as you know by now it was Praise Him Friday. Today we really need to thank God for being Lord over our lives. The question that one must ask himself /herself, is God the Lord over my life? Yes, God is sovereign but are we allowing Him to take complete control over lives. God wants to have complete control over our lives. God wants you and I to yield to Him, so that we experience more of him. It is easy to pursue the creature comforts of life but scripture teaches us that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness all of these things (creature comforts) will be added unto us.

Today in simplicity, I want to share with you about our God. Yes we could get really deep about the Theology of our God, or what a celestial being he is. Yes, both are so true and we are not minimizing who God is, but today there must be a practical application of thought. So many times you and I have taken for granted the the character of God because of the "BIG Bang" affect. We only praise God for the big things, he has done in our lives. What about His nature? It is because of the nature of God that we have all of those wonderful things. God is truly a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Our text reminds of a truth. The truth about who God is, the character, His nature. When we realize on this Praise Him Friday, the character and the nature of God, our praise will shift to another level. What a God!. To realize more importantly who He is, versus what He can do, authenticates our worship. What a God!  Today your praise and worshiop should be centered around who God is.

The writer here in Psalms 145: 8-9 , gives us a few things about the character and the nature of God. The first thing the writer says is, " The Lord is gracious." In God's character and nature grace and acts of kindness are in Him. Think about the many times God has bestowed grace on your life ( undeserved/ unmerited  favor). What a God! You and I have disappointed God on so many different levels, but He is so gracious to us. The writer goes on to explain," He is full of compassion." God has a soft spot for us all. God looks at our inability to do certain things and He says ," I will be sensitive to their needs and have compassion on them." What a God! That is really something to think about, the compassionate character and nature of our God. The next parts of verse number eight let's us know that He is slow to anger and of great mercy. What a God!! How many times has God been mad with us or should have been made with us ? How many times has God given us mercy when we should have gotten judgement?  In the character and nature of God is anger management ( slow to do it) and mercy. What a God! Don't take the lack of anger by God, and His mercy for granted. It should never be a time that you and I don't praise Him for that part of His character and nature. It is paramount that we do so. Finally in first verse number nine the writer says," The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His works." What a God! God is good to us all and everything that He does shows His hand of mercy. Goodness and once again mercy are in the character and nature of God. That should be fantastic news to you and for me. I will tell you as for me it is. I realize more and more that I cannot do anything without the Lord. Yes, you and I need to appreciate the character and nature God by simply  telling him thank you.

Don't get so deep that you forget to praise God for His character and His nature. If it were not for His character and His nature none of the things that you and I experience would  be possible.

The Malfunction of Love ( Morning Glory -Take Off Thursday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Take Off Thursday. Our message today was " The Malfunction of Love ." Our scripture for today was 1 Corinthians 13:8.

Charity never faileth : but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail,whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

As you know this week we are still dealing with love. The goal this week was to express the importance of walking in love. We walk in love by walking in the light. The light is Jesus Christ.  Scripture teaches us that when we LOVE our brother, we are walking in the light and the light represents Christ. While walking in the light we will not stumble.

Walking in love ensures that Christ is on board and most importantly Christ helps us to live a life free from sin.The only way you and I can live a life free from sin is by constantly walking in the light. When you and I stop walking in the light we ultimately find ourselves in sin. As a result of being in sin there is a malfunction of love, that means that there is a disconnect between you and Christ. God says, " he will not have any other god before him." We have got to make up in our mind that we are going to keep God first. The malfunctions that we have in life are due to the fact that we turn the light off. You and I can not choose and pick when we are going to let the light which is Jesus Christ  shine. It is only by a consistent time of prayer and meditation that we remain in the light. The light represents Christ.

God is love. Christ is love. The Holy Spirit is love and you and I have to walk there in. Love is a spiritual characteristic that helps us do it in the natural. It is only when you and stop walking in love, we begin to malfunction in our love walk or our walk in Christ Jesus.

Don't allow yourself to mismanage your walk with Christ because you malfunction in the day to day exercise of meditation and the reading  of the Word of God. Love will always malfunction when there is a lack of communion with the Father.

As you know I have been doing a dual presentation. I have presenting spiritual information as well as as natural information as it relates to the actions of love. In this blog I would  like to present to you why personal relationships malfunction.

My relationship is malfunctioning because:

1. You Overlooked - Stop overlooking the things in your life that have hurt you, disappointed you, caused you pain. It is important to express what it is that you were dissatisfied with. Don't wait until something small happens and that which was  overlooked is not expressed and you blow up. You are not blowing up because of the small thing but because  of that which was not said. Also don't  wait until your partner says something about what he/she dislikes about you and then you just jump in with both barrels telling what your issues are. No tick for tac. This will definitely cause a malfunction in the relationship.

2. Don't want to do ANYTHING - Get rid of not wanting to do anything.  Your partner has made plans to something with you and you response is always, "No, I don't  want to do anything." When are you going to want to do something? In the beginning you went out, and now you don't  want too. Get rid of not wanting to do anything, start trying to make yourself agree to do something. This will definitely cause your relationship to malfunction.

3. Why are you so confrontational or argumentative - Talking now is a chore. Communication must be done with respect. It is important to understand that it is okay to disagree but disagree with respect.  Allow your partner to express himself /herself  without making the dialogue aggressive. Communication is 90% of the relationship. This will definitely cause your relationship to malfunction if there is not correct communication.

4. We are now going in different directions- Growing is paramount in one's life. In the relationship fact finding is never a destination but a journey.  We must never feel like the course we set out on together is where we will end up. New ideas, new feelings, new suggestions will arrive and change. We have to allow growth to take place even if it seems as if there is a new direction taking place. If we  don't allow this, malfunction in the relationship will happen. Embrace change.

5. Married Couples - You Don't Get Me There - Our level of intimate moments have diminished. What is really going on? Are you involved with someone else physically or mentally? Are you embracing any type change, something new? Has your appearance changed drastically? Have you sat down and had a discussion of the buttons that need to be pushed?  If I am not being satisfied intimately or the sex is just bad, if it is true love both partners find away to get each other to the desired goal. Don't discount the feelings of your partner. Once again communication is required. Tell your partner your needs. It isn't that they will be met, but at least it is communicated, if not it will cause the relationship to malfunction.

6. You are to demanding or controlling- No one wants to be told what to do, when to do, or how to do. Allow your partner to carve their own path and then you make a suggestion. There is nothing wrong with making a suggestion but it paramount to take into consideration how that suggestion is made. We cannot put demands on anyone but ourselves.  Learn to be compassionate, you will quickly find that if not it will cause a malfunction in the relationship.

Remember don't  allow your spiritual walk to malfunction because you are not spending consistent time with God. Finally,  when time is not spent with God ultimately your personal relationships malfunction.

Part 2 Caution In Whom You Say You Love (Morning Glory - Instructional Wednesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday. Our message today was a continuation from yesterday, " Caution In Whom You Say You Love ." Our scripture for today was 1John 2 : 10.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and none occasion of stumbling in him.

Today on Morning Glory it was a continuation of yesterday's inspiration.  On this Instructional Wednesday God continued to remind us to be cautious in using the words "I love you." The love that is extended from you and I represents the light. Jesus Christ is the light. When you and I walk in the light we love our brother (not gender pacific ) and sin or stumbling as the text suggest will not happen. Yes, walking in the light will prevent sin. When we are truly walking as God would have us to walk there is an absence of sin. Allow the Holy Spirit to mature you in the area of love so that, His light shines.

There must be an awareness when we say that we love someone.  You and I cannot use the word love prematurely.  It really can cause more damage than satisfaction when said without the consideration of the light, which is Jesus Christ.

Let's now continue in the explanations given in identifying what true love is:

6. True love requires that giving love produces getting love- If you are constantly at the yellow light and it never turns green, you are in a holding pattern.  If I am going to receive true love I must be willing to give it first. True love is not "Let's Make A Deal", if you push out love then , I will push out love. True love is unconditional. Your partner should not be rewarded for your love. Giving love always starts with you first, ultimately you will find it will be simultaneously given back to you.

7. Are you my buddy o' pal, are we friends- True love always starts with friendshjp. I need to be able to laugh, joke, have serious talks, go places before the romantic adventure begins. You might try the dating or romance and it may not work. True friendship lasts forever. Make sure there is a strong foundation in friendship. Can you say you are truly friends.

8. Staying power produces True Love- True love is built to last. If I want to give up because of something like, he left the toilet seat up and I fell in, that was something else it wasn't love. True love allows you to work through everything. There is no problem to big that cannot be worked through if it is really love. Learn to embrace the flaws of your partner , it is there that you will find, if your love is true or was it lust all the time.

9. True love is trust or committed -  True love always says I trust you. True love always says I am committed to you. We are attracted to people in our humanist.  Can I look but not touch? When you are committed nothing or no one can come between the partnership that has been established . There isn't anything that would present itself that would cause you not to want to be with you companion /sweetheart.

10. True love is endless - If the love is really love, it will never end. Lionel  Richie and Diana Rossi sang a song, " My Endless Love". One verse in the song goes, two hearts that beat as one, my life has just begun. True love is the beginning of one heart beat. Don't let people, places or things come between what you and your partner has built,  if done it will last forever.

Remember be cautious in saying whom you love. Represent the light. The light is Jesus Christ.

The Caution In Whom You Say You Love (Morning Glory -Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today was " Caution In Whom You Love." Our text today was 1John 2:10.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and none occasion of stumbling in him.

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday.  Once again we are dealing with the subject of love.  Our text today let's us know that if we do not love our brother we will stumble.  The operation of love or walking in love keeps us in the light of Christ. In other words we are apart of the light. God wants you and I to walk in the light.  The light represents the relationship that you and I have in Christ Jesus.

It is important that you and I  maintain the light. Jesus Christ is that light. I maintain the light or better yet I manage my walk in the light by daily devotion with light giver, Jesus  Christ. In this same scripture, it talks about keeping your word, it represents the love of God. When that is done, love is perfected it we become mature and as result you and I know we are in him. The love of Christ should always be on display in our lives, not just in word but also in deeds.

Being cautious in whom you say you love depicts authentic relationship.  If I say I love God,  the entire chapter of 1 John 2 gives me a clear description of what that looks like. You and I cannot use the words I love you without determining if the relationship we are in, can be stamped love. We say we love God, but do we measure up to the things in 1 John 2 (read the entire chapter). We say we love people, places and things, but do we really? There is a difference between love, lust and like. It is up to you and I to find out what is being applied in every area of our lives. The Holy Spirit will assist you in this. We must be very cautious when we speak the language of love.

Since it is Relationship Tuesday, everyone should know if the person they are in relationship with, once they say," they love you ", they really do. What are the signs  that let me know that I am truly loved? How do I really know this is not just acts of kindness or just being nice (both are forms of love)? How do I know it will last?

Once again we have to be cautious in whom we say we love. There must be a strong awareness and true reality, that it really is love. True love always takes consideration to the principles of love.

Let me help the ladies. However men we can use these same principles and ideas. If I am going  to be cautious to whom I say I love here are some things I must take into consideration first.

1. True love is always authentic, it isn't  a copy cat.- You will never find true love by trying to be like someone  else. You have to be you, you have your own identity.  True love is a community of various things,  but be yourself it will produce better results.

2. If I love myself,  I can truly find love- You will never be able to love anyone else until you are able to love on yourself.  Learn how to appreciate the you. Learn how to appreciate being with you,  take yourself to dinner,  movies, walks in the park, trips...etc...Love on yourself so it becomes easy to love someone else.

3. True love is not changing or better yet DEMANDING- True love always starts with the consideration of who the other partner is. I should not have to change or have demands placed  on me after the fact. In the fact finding all of the likes and dislikes should have been discovered. A real partner does not ask you to change for them, you make changes because that is your desire.

4.True love is freedom - True love will allow you to let your hair down ( or take it off). Your outward appearances may change from time to time. True love  accepts it all, bad breath, no teeth, weight increase or decrease...etc... Be free ,be who you are...

5. True love answers the questions- When I am in a relationship and I have to ask myself repeated questions about the security of the relationship, then chances are, I am not in what is called, true love. Love should be natural and loving should be natural after the relationship is established. If you have gone through all steps and processes and the time you have spent doesn't make it feel complete, then take an evaluation. Love should be easy not hard...

It Is All About Love ( Morning Glory - Inspirational Monday )

Today on Morning  Glory it is was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was " It Is All About Love." Our scripture today was 1 Corinthians 13:13

And now abideth, faith, hope and charity  (love), these three, but the greatest of these is love.

Today on Morning Glory we started another  series. This week on Morning Glory we will be dealing with LOVE. What a wonderful subject to talk about. For the most part, most people or better yet Christians don't  understand this small four letter word that packs such a powerful punch.  The words, " I love you," are used so loosely. We say we love but do we really walk  in love or are we taking steps of envy, jealousy, malice, trife, lust, bitterness and or hatred. Walking in love will take the aid of the Holy Spirit. You and I cannot walk in love in our human  capacity it will take the presence of God to manifest it our lives.

John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten, son that whosoever believeth him should not persist but have everlasting life. God gave us the gift of His son, Jesus Christ because he loves us. Jesus loved us so much, that he died, that we might have the right to the tree of life. As believers you and I now have the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. In the guiding of the Holy Spirit there are nine manifestation fruit gifts. These gifts are our character gifts. One of these  gifts being love. Love if done right, is completely spiritually but has natural applications. It is by the Spirit of God that we can apply love to whatever it is, such as people,  places, or things. The aid of the Holy Spirit will help you, to be able to walk in love.

The life that you and I live should always be about the life of love. Everything you and I need as it relates to a disposition that will please God will come out of love.
Time will not afford me the opportunity to give all the scriptures that is related to love but what you and I need to know according to 1John, if we don't  love, God says," We are none of His." Walking in love is paramount in our Christian walk.  Don't  allow your fleshy feelings to surpass the one and only true feeling that honors God.

Love reveals who we are. The way we talk and act always identifies our true character. When people see you, what do they see? Do they see a person of love? It is all about love. Yes, things will come up in our lives but it is important that our character resembles the character of love.
Once again make sure that ask the Holy Spirit to aid you in this endeavor.  We are not able to handle situations that involve people, places or things on our own, we need the Holy Spirit.

It truly is all about love. Everything around us is uniquely made for love. Start today by making a decision that you are going to walk in love, speak about love, have an attitude of love, receive love God's way and give love God's way.

It is all about love!
