It is all about LOVE Part 3

1 Corinthians 13:3

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give me body to be burned, and have not charity,  it profiteth me nothing.

When I think about investing, I think about getting a return on my investment.  I think about winning. I think about growth and progress. The interesting thing is I don't have to have a love emotion but an attitude for success. 

Here in this 1 Corinthians 13:3 verse Paul reminds us that if we invest into feeding the poor or even if you decide to sacrifice your body to be burned and you don't apply the investment of (charity). It means absolutely nothing. There is no return. Once again it is important that everything we do we do by the operation of love. It is so easy to make good Samaritan moves but if you don't do it in love it means nothing.

Things will happen in both your life and in my life. Things will take place in your life that will cause an emotional set back. Our behavior must be the behavior of a person that is walking with God. The love of God will keep us. Continue to allow God to order your steps and make sure that you pursue love. Love is a wonderful place to be in.

It is all about LOVE!! Part 1

I Corinthians 13:1

Though I speak with men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.

It is a matter of love. Love matters. Love is the emotion of unconditional partiality, which is core to Christianity. Because God so loved the world (John 3:16) we know love is also undeserving and often unreciprocated. As believers we must be careful that we don't model our love after the world, but Christ. 

1 Corinthians 13:1, Paul opens up this chapter by putting emphasis on how we speak as it relates to love. Paul reminds us that our communication whether it be of men, the language you and I speak on a daily basis or of angels, the things of God or the Word of God. Paul says if we don't do it in charity (love) we become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. In other words Paul is identifying us as pieces of band. Sounding brass and tinkling cymbals are pieces of or musical instruments that make a noise. Are you making a whole lot of noise?

Paul suggests that it is not a good sound, when we don't speak in love. The question I want to raise to you as a believer. Are you speaking in love? Are your words offensive? Do you pay attention to the words that come out of your mouth? My Christian friend, I challenge you today to make sure that you season your words with love. Be mindful, that it is easy for people to take offense when words don't come out exactly like we want them. If we speak with love, that is the God kind of love (Agape) we can never go wrong.

God is love and love is of God. Watch how you speak.

God Will Keep His Promise

Philippians 1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he that hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

The animated story growing up that I so admired was the story about the "Little Red Train". What fascinated me about the train was the message or the catch phrase, " I think , I can, I think, I can. The challenge was the train being able  to climb hills. So this little train had the motivation to not give up. The little red train would speak to himself. When it was hard to climb those hills, he would say, I think, I can, I think, I can. What is your motivation today? What is the one thing that is driving you to complete every goal and every  task?

Struggles come in each of our lives. What do you do when adversity and trials come? One writer in scripture would say , "Count it all joy". What are you saying? What are you doing? Don't  lose the ability to be the best YOU, you can be. If you have not started, start right now making changes, so you finish strong.

Paul reminds us here in Philippians 1:6 that we must be confident that Christ started a work in us. I don't know the work that Christ has started in your life but you do. Don't  get derailed by life issues but know that if God started it , he has the ability and capacity to finish what he starts. Scripture teaches us that if God be for us, He is more than the whole world against us. Christ has given you a good work. The good work is whatever you put your hands to do. Allow God to direct and order your steps. God always finishes what He starts. Trust that God loves you so much that he will not let you down. God always keeps his promises. Man will disappoint and let you down but once again God always keeps his promises.

Pushing Through by Determination

James 1:12

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised in those who love him.

Our focus this week has been on DETERMINATION.  The question that is a constant in my mind , can I have a made up mind that regardless of what I am faced with or what I am doing. Can I move to the place of being determined? Can overcome any obstacle or challenge that comes my way? The answer to that is yes. It is a strong  possibility that through faith and determination you and I can overcome  anything. 

James gives us some insight on being determined. This first thing I see that James says we must look at:

The Posture of the Believer: James calls this person blessed because  he/she pushes through. He/she perseveres. When you persevere you go pass and push through everything that attempts to stop you from getting  where you are supposed to be. James tells us that we are blessed. But James talks also talks about  the:

The Place of the Believer: James says when you stand firm, when you have stood the test. It is a beautiful place to be in. Being determined affords you the opportunity to be successful.  James identifies being determined as passing the test. Are you willing to pass the test by simply being determined.  Finally James tells us that  there is something even bigger by operating in determination.  James says that there is a:

Prize for the Believer: James reminds us that you will receive a crown of life, the the Lord has promised to those who love him. That is great news. I don't have to wait until I get to heaven to receive  my crown. I can have a crown, a crown of life right now. While I live God endorses my life because I was determined to hang in there and push pass every  obstacle that came my way.

God wants you and I to have the spirit of determination.  Don't  allow anyone or anything to stop you from gaining your crown. Life is better when  there is a sense of determination always playing that vital  role. Keep believing that God has the power to take you through it, let Him.

12 Hours of Prayer ( Morning Glory )

Today on Morning Glory we are in 12 Hours Of Prayer.  Our message in our first hour " God will give Grace for the FAMILY "

I pray now that in the name of Jesus the Christ, that God gives you grace in the area of your family. I pray that God will cover fathers,  mothers, daughters, sons, grandparents,  uncles, aunts and cousins. I prayer that  in the name of Jesus that God covers everyone that is connected to the family. I pray that every malfunction and displacement will come up under the authority of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name. I pray that in the name of Jesus that love will be the foundational thing and that the presence of the Holy Spirit will be permanent in the lives of every family member and for those that are not saved they accept Jesus Christ as Lord.

God will give you grace in the area of your FAMILY......

Do We Really Know Him ( Morning Glory- Instructional Wednesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday.  Our message today was "Do We Really Know Him". Our scripture today was Psalms 119: 11.

Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.

The greatest thing that you can do is accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Once you have accepted Jesus Christ, your new life begins.  Our life now belongs to Christ, for him to do as he pleases. The reality that you and I now face, is the reality of complete obedience. To truly know who God is will take the act of obedience. When we obey God we have the heart of God and true fellowship begins.

It is through fellowship that we know Christ. Our fellowship involves a prayer life as well as the reading of the Word of God. Never fall out of fellowship with the Father,  it is in fellowship that our relationship with the Him grows. As a member of the Body of Christ your desire should be to grow spiritually.  Never get to the place where you think you have arrived. So often times we have been guilty of falling out of relationship (sin) because we neglected to have devotion with Him.

Ephesians teaches us that we are in a constant battle,  that battle is the flesh verses the spirit. Remember you are in the world but not of the world. You and I were born in sin and shapen in iniquity. We came in the world sinners but once we have accepted Christ it is his blood that covers and washes us clean.

Everyday you and I should  want to know more and more about God. It should never be a time that we are not in fellowship.  It is through fellowship that there is a clear understanding of who He is. I know longer want express my love for Him by another's experience, I want to express my love for Him by my own experience and that only happens through personal encounters with the Father. To really know God is to really love Him.

If you have been following any length of time you know that Wednesday is set aside to hear the voice of God in a clear and concise manner. We are tuned in, to hear prophetically what God has to say. Here is what the Holy  Spirit spoke to us.

1. Get to know God through His word.

2. Relationship with God requires commitment.

3. Walking in the light/Christ, eliminates sin.

4. Obedience is the factor in honoring God.

5. Yield to God for positive results.

6. Your confidence should be in Christ and him only.

7. God says, " I will always be with you."

8. In the presence of God there is joy.

9. The Word of God gives direction.

10. When I obey God, I have the heart of God.

It Is All About Love ( Morning Glory - Inspirational Monday )

Today on Morning  Glory it is was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was " It Is All About Love." Our scripture today was 1 Corinthians 13:13

And now abideth, faith, hope and charity  (love), these three, but the greatest of these is love.

Today on Morning Glory we started another  series. This week on Morning Glory we will be dealing with LOVE. What a wonderful subject to talk about. For the most part, most people or better yet Christians don't  understand this small four letter word that packs such a powerful punch.  The words, " I love you," are used so loosely. We say we love but do we really walk  in love or are we taking steps of envy, jealousy, malice, trife, lust, bitterness and or hatred. Walking in love will take the aid of the Holy Spirit. You and I cannot walk in love in our human  capacity it will take the presence of God to manifest it our lives.

John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten, son that whosoever believeth him should not persist but have everlasting life. God gave us the gift of His son, Jesus Christ because he loves us. Jesus loved us so much, that he died, that we might have the right to the tree of life. As believers you and I now have the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. In the guiding of the Holy Spirit there are nine manifestation fruit gifts. These gifts are our character gifts. One of these  gifts being love. Love if done right, is completely spiritually but has natural applications. It is by the Spirit of God that we can apply love to whatever it is, such as people,  places, or things. The aid of the Holy Spirit will help you, to be able to walk in love.

The life that you and I live should always be about the life of love. Everything you and I need as it relates to a disposition that will please God will come out of love.
Time will not afford me the opportunity to give all the scriptures that is related to love but what you and I need to know according to 1John, if we don't  love, God says," We are none of His." Walking in love is paramount in our Christian walk.  Don't  allow your fleshy feelings to surpass the one and only true feeling that honors God.

Love reveals who we are. The way we talk and act always identifies our true character. When people see you, what do they see? Do they see a person of love? It is all about love. Yes, things will come up in our lives but it is important that our character resembles the character of love.
Once again make sure that ask the Holy Spirit to aid you in this endeavor.  We are not able to handle situations that involve people, places or things on our own, we need the Holy Spirit.

It truly is all about love. Everything around us is uniquely made for love. Start today by making a decision that you are going to walk in love, speak about love, have an attitude of love, receive love God's way and give love God's way.

It is all about love!

Morning Glory (Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today " What About Love". Our scripture today was 1 John 3:11.

For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

Today on Relationship Tuesday our inspiration today was of course about love. With all that is going on in the world we need to not only to operate in love, walk in love but we need more love. You will discover while viewing news telecast and reading the newspaper our world is absent of true love.

Love is a powerful tool. Love is so powerful that it is a manifestation fruit gift of the Holy Spirit. In other words it is a manifestation fruit gift in Galatians 5 , the fruit of the Spirit is love. When we operate in love, the manifestation of the Holy Spirit is present. It is imperative that you and I understand that without  love the Holy Spirit is not fully working in our lives.

Without the manifestation fruit gift called love being in operation in our lives, we will find there are things that will take place where fruit is not available.  Ladies and gentlemen love brings about fruit in your life as well as in my life. If we are going to operate or have a life filled with joy and peace it starts with the manifestation fruit gift called love.

We are now living in a world of malicious activity, a world filled with terrorism a world filled with hate and jealousy but the Word of God clearly lets us know that greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world. We need to make sure that we get to the place in God that the manifestation fruit gift love is working in our lives. The Word of God teaches us that love or walking in love will cover a multitude of sins. Thee Word of God teaches in John 3:16,"God so loved the world; that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life", yes we need Jesus Christ.

God is love. Love represents God. Jesus Christ is love. In Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit , in the Holy Spirit is the manifestation fruit give love. John 14:18 says, "I'm going to leave you a comforter that will never leave you comfortless." In the book of Acts we fine that's when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all in one place and on one accord and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind. Yes the promise of the Holy Spirit has now arrived and in that promise of the Holy Spirit , is the characteristic or manifestation fruit gift called love.

If you and I are going to be effective in the earth we have to operate in love. We must treat our family members right, we must treat our relationships right ,we must even walk and treat our employment right, are friends right , we must really treat the church right. Since it's really all about love we need to kill my flesh and yield to the Holy Spirit . That's right you and I need to dye to the flesh. I need to get rid of the appetites of the things of the flesh and walk in the Spirit of God. What I would normally do in the flesh, I find a way to operate in the love.

Ladies and gentlemen , what about love. Our text today lets us know that we've heard this before, John tells us  that we need to love one another. If we are going to make it, it's going to take the operation of love. Learn to allow the manifestation fruit gift love to always be present and active in your life, regardless of how someone is treating you or because  of the unfavorable circumstances that happen in your life.

Love is a powerful tool in the earth. As members of the Body of Christ we must allow love to always be the answer to all questions.

Morning Glory ( Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning  Glory it was Relationship  Tuesday. Our message  today was, " Growing Even Growth Seems Impossible ". Our Scripture today was Ephesians 4:15.

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up  into him in all things, which  is the head, even Christ .

Today of course is  Relationship  Tuesday  and on Morning Glory  I take the time to address relationships.  I believe  that God wants us to have wholesome, thriving and loving  relationships.  For so long, I didn't  understand  the importance  of being  in a real relationship.  I had great examples in front  of me but never took  the time to find  out how this  all works. As a result  I failed. I believe  that what to do and how to do in a relationship  is a learned behavior,  the good and the bad. Ultimately, the choice of having  a great relationship  is  up to you. After getting all of the information  and asking the right questions after going through  classes  ( yes classes) and some sort of counseling  it still is going to come to whether or not I choose  to have a loving, thriving and wholesome relationship. Yes relationships  must be a product  that pleases God. It is important  that we know  that all of our connections and our relationships  must please God.

Relationships  must always be growing.  If my relationship  on any level  is not growing,  I am and or the relationship  is stagnant. I must try to do everything  possible  to insure growth. I have to make a conscious  decision  that I am going to grow even  when  it seems that growth is impossible.  I have to make sure that whatever type of relationship  I am engaged  in, I am growing. A self evaluation  is a constant.  I must keep taking look  at myself  first and then  move to other things  that might be causing  my relationships  to fail.

There  must be room to grow.. You're  not the same person that you were yesterday, let alone 90 days ago.  Change  is good but understand  that all parties  involved  are changing  as well. It's  equally  important  that there must growth  even when it seems  that growth  is impossible,  it is in what I would like to call dark times. Can we grow even  when things are not going the way we want them? Can we grow out of the hurt and the pain? Can we grow through disappointments? Can we grow through the malfunction  of accountability  and integrity?  I understand  that it seems impossible  but you and I can grow.

Here  is how you and I grow. Contrary to what some say, your partner does not define you. As an individual  fill you own needs and desires and hold yourself accountable  for true happiness. Positive energy always makes growth available.

We can grow  because we find the place to love more. Paul let's  us know  here in our text for today that it must be done by love, that I may grow up in all things, it happens  through  Christ which is the head. Christ is always the center of growth being the foundation  stimulated  through love. But now abides  faith, hope and charity(love) but the greatest of  these  is  love. Scripture  teaches us that love will cover a multitude  of sins. Walking in love will always produces growth, it always will start  with you and I.

When you feel or it seems  that your relationship or connection  is not growing,  find out,  if you're practicing walking in love. Love is the key for growth. It only takes you to set the tone in the relationship or connection by using love. I promise it will spiral the relationship   to new dimensions.

If you grow in the manifestation fruit gift love, you grow  everything around you.

Morning Glory!!!! ( Relationship Tuesday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message to today was "The Infected Rib". Our scripture today came from Genesis 2:22

The Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from man, and brought her to the man.

If you were on Morning Glory last Tuesday we discussed the Affirmation of a Man. I do understand that there was not a blog done on last Tuesday simply because it was an inspiration or move of God that just could not be put in words. God has called man to lead. The connection from God and man is when He breathed into his nostrils and man became a living soul, according to Genesis 2:7. God made man to be exactly like him. It is because of one man's sin(Adam), sin entered into the world. Thank the Lord for Jesus!!!

Today on Morning Glory we went a little further in the understanding of the malfunction of man and why the rib has been infected. Yes, woman you were made out man or a part of man, the rib. God never intended for the woman to go through what she has gone through. If the connection was never infected, I wonder what kind of women we would really come to know and love.

Women let first apologize for the part that I played in, infecting you. I understand my assignment as a man now and I understand my purpose here in the earth as a man now. It is important for every man I believe to do this. God created something beautiful out of us and as a man we contaminated it, we infected it.

Woman let me start by letting you know by default it really isn't your fault. The blame or responsibility always starts with the man. By default you are guilty. Yes, you must be responsible for your actions but why did these actions occur. I understand some man might disagree but it always starts with us. Man is always the root of the problem. Our society for the most part does not deal with the cause/root of the problem, we mostly deal with the affects.

Women here are a few things you need to know but are not limited to why you have been infected. Firstly, you have been infected because of the disobedience of man. God clearly gave man the instructions of what to do and what not to do in the garden. As a result of man's disobedience the woman has had to pay the price for it. God called man/Adam to lead. When man stops leading or if man stops obeying God, that in which he is connected too becomes infected, that being woman. Man must obey God. Secondly, the lack of worship. While in the garden, God spoke to man on a daily bases. Man and God, God and man were in relationship. Whenever man stops worshiping Lord Jehovah, the woman who he is connected too, becomes infected. Worship is the key. Women you should never have a man that does not worship God. If man worships God, ultimately he will worship you in the traditional sense that is. Women make sure you and your significant other find the time to spend time worship. God must be in the center of it. A man must show the God in him. If a man won't pray for you, you will discover there are a whole lot of other things he won't do, run!!!!!!!!. You will become infected. Thirdly but not the final reason, a woman will become infected because of the invasion of spirits. We are not fighting against flesh and blood but against spirits. Yes spirits! Whenever a man does not engulf himself with the Holy Spirit other spirits invade the union. This invasion of spirits come in the relationship but primarily these spirits are transferred to the woman once the relationship is no more forcing the woman to be or to do things she was not purposed to do or better yet created to do.

As a man we must go back to the original purpose and plan that God has and had for our lives so that women can be what God originally purposed and planned for their lives.

Woman you have been infected by man but the good news is, God makes up the difference. With God you have been able to get an education, raise children, own a business, work in the church, own a car and home and have a little money in the bank....etc...... Woman know who you are, know your value. You are that Proverbs 31 Woman. God has made you special you are a queen. Don't take anymore infections from a man. Ask God right now to cover you. Once again God always makes the difference. You really don't look like what you have been through. Embrace where you have been and know where you are going. Accept on the plan of God for your life.

Morning Glory ( Inspirational Monday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was " Whose Side Are You On". Our text today was Joshua 24: 14-16.

Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your father served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seemed evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve, whether the Gods which your father's served that were on the other side of the flood, or the god of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the Lord, to serve other gods.

In the aftermath of all that has taken place over the past week in the state Oregon, the time is now to decide whose side you are on. I won't spend this time to go into details of the events that took place on that day in the state of Oregon but I will say, " People died because they said they were a Christian". Are you ready to die for your Christ or for that which you believe in?

The people of that junior college give us something to really think about. Yes, it was a travesty. Yes, it was dogmatic and senseless for the innocent lives lost at the hand of a sick and deranged individual.

In light of all that was done, still a message was sent to the Body of Christ. The message comes in the form of a question, are you on the side of Christ no matter what you are faced with? Are you willing to proclaim your Christ in the midst of adversity or even death. The scripture clearly let's us know, if you deny me here in the earth, I will deny you  to my father in heaven.

If you take the time and read Joshua 24 in its entirety you will find that God and Joshua clearly have a problem with the children of Israel, they cannot decide definitively whose side they are on as it relates to their god. Joshua reminds the children of Israel of all the wonderful things that Lord Jehovah had done for them. After giving them a solid resume of what God had done, Joshua let's the people know the need to make a decision about who they are going to serve. Joshua declared, " As for him and his house they were going to serve the Lord". As a result of what Joshua did, the people responded and did accordingly.

Now is the time that you and I should not have to be reminded about the side that we are on. God has done so much for us. You and I have the right to the Tree of Life simply because He gave us His son and the Son gave his life. If it were for that reason and that reason alone that is enough to decide the side you are on. God is sovereign, he wants to rule our lives as we yield our life to him. Whose side are you on?

The first thing you will discover, there must be personal passion. Are you passionate about your God. Are you willing to serve Him in spirit and truth.
Secondly, you will discover private pain. It is in the privacy of our lives that we have dealt with the most intimate occurrences. Behind closed doors you and I have had to deal with some stuff that nobody knew but us and God. God brought us through it and out of it. Thirdly, you will discover public persistence. When people counted you out, it was because of your passion for your God, overcoming the obstacles of life that you and I can now forge ahead publicly. God has given us the ability to have the fortitude and the vitality to be persistent while in public.

Don't ever let your witness be questioned because there is not an open demonstration if whose side you are on.

Morning Glory ( Take Off Thursday)

Today on Monday Glory it was Take Off Thursday. Our message today was " What about Faith". Our scripture today was Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 3:16-27(NIV)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. Meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.

I pray that out his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit, in your inner being so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you being rooted and established in love.

As you know by now we have been studying the manifestation food gifts of the Holy Spirit. God has given us the Holy Spirit and the character of the Holy Spirit is nine manifestation fruit gifts. These gifts operate out of love. These gifts show us how we are to behave, they are our conduct gifts. God has supplied everything we need through these manifestation fruit gifts. It is up to you and I to invite the Holy Spirit in our situations so that he can solve them. The Holy Spirit solves them through the nine manifestation fruit gifts. Don't let life's issues stop you by not allowing the Holy Spirit to come in and change the outcome.

Today was Take Off Thursday. Of course our inspiration was primarily about faith, which is our manifestation fruit gift this week. Faith is believing that something is there when you have no proof. Faith pleases God. Faith honors God and God honors faith. We must get to the place that we walk and talk and live by faith.

In our secondary scripture for today Ephesians 3:16-17 Paul is admonishing the church at Ephesus. Paul's desire for the church is that they have strength, power, Christ to dwell in their hearts through faith, and be rooted and grounded in love.

Today I voice the same sentiments as Paul, we must apply Ephesians 3:16-17 to our lives right now. We need the Holy Spirit to do all of these things in our lives. The Holy Spirit wants to lead and direct us. It is important that we understand all of what needs to take place in our life will happen by faith through the aid of the Holy Spirit. Hearing the Word of God produces faith. If you and I are going to be successful in our Kingdom walk it is going to take hearing the Word of God.

Faith works if you work it. Don't let the pain of your past or any distraction designed exclusively by the enemy stop you from getting to your place of purpose and power. God wants the best for our lives.

Morning Glory( Instructional Wednesday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday. Our message today was "Understanding the Power of Goodness". Our scripture today was Galatians 5:22-23.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness. Meekness, temperance: against such, there is no law.

As you know if you have been following us via the inspirational call or by this blog you know we have been dealing with the manifestation fruit gifts of the Holy Spirit. These nine fruit gifts show us the character of the Holy Spirit. These fruit gifts also show us how we are to behave as members of the body of Christ. We have no excuse to why we cannot be successful here in the earth,. We have the power on the inside of us to be able to help us manage life's issues. We need the help of the Holy Spirit to insure our success. We are in a constant battle with the flesh. The flesh always goes against what the spirit wants to do. We need the Holy Spirit to be our helper.

As believers we have to employ the manifestation fruit gift goodness. The fruit gift goodness shows us how to be good not just to people but also in the market place.

Here are a few instructions the Holy Spirit gave.

1. The manifestation fruit gift goodness is applied when you want to do right from the heart.
2. The mouth only speaks what the heart feels.
3. The manifestation fruit gift goodness will produced your reputation.
4. Goodness is required even in the market place. We must pay our bills on time.
5. Operating in the manifestation fruit gift goodness opens doors, that are only opened by God.
6. Goodness ultimately eliminates selfish activities.
7. Don't be blinded with pride.
8. Goodness is a community, be good to others and others will be good to you.
9. Stop trying  to please people and please God.
10. Value the gift of goodness,  it will take you to another dimension in God.

These are just a few things the Holy Spirit spoke to us. If you work it, it will work.

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday. Our message today was" What about Gentleness"?. Our scripture once again was Galatians 5:22-23.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love , joy , peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. Meekness, temperance against such there is no law.

As you know we have been in a study on the manifestation fruit gifts of the Holy Spirit. We have discussed love, joy, peace and longsuffering. This week are blog brings us to the manifestation fruit gift gentleness. It is important to know that the Holy Spirit has nine manifestation fruit gifts that show us how we are to govern ourselves, they are our conduct gifts. As a believer we will never be able to understand the nine spiritual gifts if we are not able to comprehend and apply the nine fruit gifts.

Gentleness is being kind, amiable; not severe, rough or violent it is mild, calm, actions that bring peace. Anytime you or I operate in a behavior that goes against God's original purpose and plan for our lives we are functioning in our prideful nature, yes pride. Pride is a high or inordinate opinion of one's own dignity, importance, merit or superiority whether as cherished in the mind or as played in bearing conduct. Pride is merely the state of being proud.

Anytime we are operating in pride we miss the opportunity to ask God or the Holy Spirit to manifest the fruit gift gentleness. Being kind is important to the Holy Spirit it should be important to you. Things will happen in our life that will allow our humanist to want to take over, the flesh that is but don't do it, yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and the manifestation fruit gift gentleness.

It will work if you work it....

Instructions for this Wednesday

1. Don't die in pride
  A. Seek good council
  B. Stay away from people that offer the
      advice of retaliation, the bible calls
      them fools
  C. Pride goes before a fall
  D. Humbleness is always best

2. Give way to a soft answer

3. Pay attention to your feelings make sure anger does not cause you to sin

4. Let the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart be acceptable in his sight.

5. At best try to be at peace with everyone, it will take the manifestation fruit gift gentleness

Morning Glory ( Instructional Wednesday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday. Our message today was " Increase".

Our message today was simply "Increase". I do understand as explained in the beginning of the week that we would be dealing with the fruits if the Spirit but this morning the Holy Spirit decided to go another way.

I started this morning by telling s story of how I went into a local convenient store to purchase a few items. I explained I gave the cashier the amount requested for the purchase and the change received was more than what I gave the cashier. The Holy Spirit said , "Son look in your hand". I had counted more than what I gave, $10.00 more to be exact. The Holy Spirit said, " What are you going to do"?. I immediately went to the counter and told the cashier that she gave me too much money back. Of course she was grateful for the acknowledgement that she had given me too much money and I returned it but the Holy Spirit said, "Son that was not about her but you".

It is important that you and I know that the primary assignment of the Holy Spirit is to lead us a guide us into all truth. I had an opportunity to take $10.00 extra that didn't belong to me . It was an honest mistake by the cashier that could have gone totally the wrong way. Can the Holy Spirit trust you?

When God blesses he adds no sorrow. When God blesses, you will not have to look over your shoulder. What you don't know is that I had been praying to God about my finances. God gave me the opportunity to prove myself, trust worthy. If you and I are going to receive increase in our lives we will first must be good stewards over what God has already placed in our hands. Also in times when our integrity is placed on the line will we employ the right action as a child of God..

God wants to increase you and I financially, start today by making the right choices. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. Make sure that every time an opportunity arises to operate with integrity you do it. Make sure that when there is an opportunity to give His tithes and our offerings it is done. Please don't ever forget to sow seed of your time, talent and treasure and watch increase come in your life.

Final thought, obey God.......

Morning Glory ( Relationship Tuesday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today was part 2 of last week "The Need For Real Friend" The Spirit of Acceptance.
Our scripture today was again Mark 12:31
(Read it when you get a chance)

So often times you and I are guilty in operating in the Spirit of Acceptance. In other words the act of intimidation, domination and manipulation presents itself.

As I began to give my presentation for today I first started by telling those listening that I had reservations about today's inspiration because from time to time we all operate in the area of wanting to be accepted. Yes, we feel that because we make a suggestion or have a conviction about an idea or situation that the party/friend should also agree, not allowing them to have the right to choose with out prejudice.

I know this is not a popular subject but it is one that needs to be addressed. The reality of not being in agreement does not give you or I the right to shun who we are connected to or to the one we call friend. Our society is such that if we are not accepted we now play the sympathy role directed at ourselves. Words such as they just don't like me, they think they are better than me, I guess I am just not good enough for them, they are a know it all, you get the point. However there are some cases where that rule of thought might apply but for the most part it is really the feeling of not being accepted. We cannot develop an emotion based on communication denial. The self pity disposition has now been employed.

Jesus in Mark 12:31 let's us know that love is the answer and that kind of love is demonstrated to my neighbor/ friend by how much I love myself. We will never grow in relationship without selfless acts of kindness. God wants all of our relationships to be wholesome, thriving and loving.

It is important that we recognize that everyone has been given a free will. Individuals have the right to make a choice without being critical of them. Because I don't like what you say or do or because the recommendations are not received by you , if I am a real friend I respect your position and hope that whatever it is that I was trying to offer one day is received.

Operating in the Spirit of Acceptance as mentioned earlier in this blog produces intimidation, domination and manipulation. The word of God informs us that these types of behaviors fall under witchcraft (Galatians).

All people have the right to choose without prejudice. Give them the choice and you will find you will get along better.

Morning Glory ( Inspirational Monday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was " I Didn't Do Anything To Deserve This". Our scripture today was Ephesians 2:9.

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

There are so many things that you and I can do to accomplish a lot in life. Life is about choices. We make the decision to do good or bad. We make the decision to go to school to get an education. We make a decision to get jobs, love our families, buy homes. We make the decision to accept Christ. We make the decision to live for Christ. It is important that we know that the choices we make ultimately mold the course of life that we will have, the good and the bad.

Here in Ephesians 2:9, Paul reminds us that you and I didn't do anything to deserve salvation. Christ did it all. Paul reminds us that when we were in sin it was Christ that reconciled us back to the Father. Scripture teaches us that it is by grace that we are saved, it is a gift from God and it is all done by faith. I am so glad I didn't have anything to do with determining my destiny or the ability or know how to figure it out. Christ did it all for you and for me. The most important thing in life that you and I can do is by accepting Jesus Christ into our lives and realizing what he did for us on the cross. We now have a hope not only in the life to come but right now here on earth.

Remember we did nothing to deserve his love, power and his grace. Make sure that you remain humble and yielded to him as you walk and workout your Kingdom assignment.

Excited about the fact Christ did it all for me, how about you?

Morning Glory ( Praise Him Friday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Praise Him Friday. Our message today was, " Thank God For His Mercy". Our text today was Ephesians 2:4

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us.

On this Friday, it is good for us to praise God for his mercy. It is because of his mercy that we can determine that he loves us according to Paul as he writes to the church at Ephesus.

So often we fail to remember how merciful our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is. Yes, we praise him for waking us up, salvation, healing, deliverance, opening up doors but we don't place a high regard in the fact that he shows us mercy. Lamentations say, "Great is his faithfulness, his mercies are new everyday". We should never stop thanking God for his mercy especially when justice or what we deserve should be take place.

Today on this Praise Him Friday pause and thank God for his mercy. God deserves a great deal of praise in this area. Yes, I thank God for his mercy. If it was not for his mercy we all would have been consumed. But his mercy fails not. Christ shows us his mercy because he loves us.

Thank you God for your MERCY. Praise his name!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!

Morning Glory (Relationship Tuesday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today was " I Need Real Friend". Our scripture today was Mark 12: 31.

And the second is like namely this; thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than this.

Who do you call your friend? Who can you identify as that person that is your ride or die. Who is it in your life that is with you even when you are wrong? Who offers you the correct advice, even when it isn't popular? Who are you connected to but the real question is, are they connected to you? True friendship is lost in the many cultures or communities that has been established over the past ten years. An example of this is social media. Social media has now taken the place of real communication. Instead of having a live conversation we now use texting as a means to convey a thought, idea or emotions and in the end we still get misunderstood.

True friendship always is established on the basis of LOVE. There can never be growth, understanding, true companionship and loyalty if there is no love. Yes, Jesus here let's us know the foundation of every relationship starts with LOVE. This love is arrived because of how much we love ourselves and because of the level we love ourselves it is passed on to the one we call our friend. I understand there are self centered/ selfish people in our circle, please don't get confused and think that is them loving themselves. As you spend time with them you will discover they cannot display or distribute the same kind of energy towards you. According to scripture every relationship starts with the foundation of love but this love is displayed by how much I love myself. If you don't have love for yourself it will be almost impossible to love anyone else. Don't confuse lust for love. Don't confuse being nice or acts of kindness for love. When things are done God's way you will be able to know  the difference.

Today take out the time to evaluate every connection/ friendship. Ask yourself if is this connection/ friendship is brings value to your life. Ask yourself are you the only one brining something to the friendship while the one you are connected to is always taking. Seek God in every connection/friendship make sure it lines up with God and if it does not get rid of it.

True friendship can happen, it starts with asking the question, how much do I love myself.

Morning Glory ( Inspirational Monday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was " Presented to God Mistake Free". Our scripture today was Jude 1:24 ( b part)

......present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

I was on my way from Atlanta to Montgomery in the early morning. I took the two hour drive to spend time with the Father. While spending time with the Father he said, " I don't hear you". I immediately asked the father, " Why is it that you don't hear me", he said, " you are spotted, you are filled with wrinkles". At this time I started to shake my head. I had no clue what the Holy Spirit was saying. As we conversed back and forth the Holy Spirit said," When you come into my presence, you need to come mistake free". Son when was the last time you came into my presence and before you asked me for anything or worshipped me, you asked for forgiveness. When was the last time you repented, said the Holy Spirit.

It is important that when you come into the presence of God that you and I must first ask for his forgiveness and have a repented heart. The bible declares that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. Our walk with God must always involve repentance as well as forgiveness.

The text today clearly let's us know that we can be presented to the Father faultless/mistake free. When we come to the Father in the name of his son Jesus, it is only because of the relationship that we have with him that hears and answers our prayers. Never get to the place in your spiritual walk that you fail to repent or ask for forgiveness. As a believers you I should not just ask for forgiveness of the sins we know about but also for the ones we don't know about. This is the message of grace, you and I are the righteousness of God. When we come to God mistake free it is because we have been covered by the blood of Jesus. Yes, your sins and my sins have been washed by the blood of the lamb.

Never get to the place in your spiritual walk that you feel you  don't have to repent or ask for forgiveness. Forgiveness is an on going process. Jesus loves us and knows all about us. Jesus wants to presents us to the Father it is mistake free.

Come to God always with a pure heart.
