According To The Mind of God

Philippians 2:5

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

The old proverb states " the mind is a terrible thing to waste". The capacity to think sometimes gets distorted by the the things that we come in contact with. Life has a way of making our thinking change. The change comes because that which we think should be, really isn't.  In other words, the mind plays tricks on us. The values that were placed in us no longer are at the for front of our thinking because life has offered so many twist and turns. What you and I need to do, is get back to our core values and allow our foundational truths be the start of our thinking.

God has given each of us free will.  What that means is every decision and act is a matter of choice. Yes, we choose to do what it is that we are doing. We choose to be good, bad, to love, to give, to be mad, to be loyal, you get what I am saying. Everything we do is a matter of choice. How are you choosing to day? All of us have experienced hurt, pain and disappointment. For the most part we have experienced love, joy and happiness. The important thing we must understand, what ever choice we choose to make it first started with our feelings (emotions). From what we feel it transcends to our thoughts. We have to guard our thoughts so we can be effective in our day to day activities.

Paul reminds us in Philippians 2:5 that we must let the mind of Christ be our spiritual map to guide us. Using or better yet having the mind of Christ is the way we overcome every circumstance or  issue that arises. It is important that we don't allow our behavior to contradict who we are because we have lost our way. The mind of Christ is achieved by staying in the Word of God. You and I both will find all the answers we need in the Word of God. Don't let the enemy fog your judgement by your feelings. The enemy will make you think that the choices you are making is okay when it fact if you are a child of God it isn't.  Trust that God will give you comfort and give wisdom with every thought and decision you make. According to the mind of God, success happens and the right choices are always are made.

God Will Keep His Promise

Philippians 1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he that hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

The animated story growing up that I so admired was the story about the "Little Red Train". What fascinated me about the train was the message or the catch phrase, " I think , I can, I think, I can. The challenge was the train being able  to climb hills. So this little train had the motivation to not give up. The little red train would speak to himself. When it was hard to climb those hills, he would say, I think, I can, I think, I can. What is your motivation today? What is the one thing that is driving you to complete every goal and every  task?

Struggles come in each of our lives. What do you do when adversity and trials come? One writer in scripture would say , "Count it all joy". What are you saying? What are you doing? Don't  lose the ability to be the best YOU, you can be. If you have not started, start right now making changes, so you finish strong.

Paul reminds us here in Philippians 1:6 that we must be confident that Christ started a work in us. I don't know the work that Christ has started in your life but you do. Don't  get derailed by life issues but know that if God started it , he has the ability and capacity to finish what he starts. Scripture teaches us that if God be for us, He is more than the whole world against us. Christ has given you a good work. The good work is whatever you put your hands to do. Allow God to direct and order your steps. God always finishes what He starts. Trust that God loves you so much that he will not let you down. God always keeps his promises. Man will disappoint and let you down but once again God always keeps his promises.
