Make Up Your Mind (Relationship Tuesday)

03/29/2016

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today was " Make Up Your Mind." Our scripture today was Hebrews 10:23.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith; ( for he is faithful that promised).

Decisions are a necessity in everyday day life. We make the decision to do good or bad, we make the decision to get out of the bed, we make the decision to go to work. We make the decision to go to church, to read our bible, to pray, to love or not to love. Understand right now that nothing happens without a decision being made. What decision have you made in times past that you thought were good or even bad. What decision have you made were you changed your mind due to unfavorable results. Joshua said, " Choose you this day who you will serve." I'm other words Joshua was saying make a choice decide.

Our lifestyle change requires that we be diligent in our profession, but it only happens by faith. God is a God that cannot lie and will not lie. What God has promised it will come to pass. It is important to know that when we have made up our mind to follow Christ or we have made a lifestyle change Christ comes into partnership with us by the Holy Spirit that enables us to stick to the decision that we have made to follow him.

The grace of God is sufficient for us. The grace of God keeps us from falling and presents us faultless before the father. The grace of God is the finish work of Christ. Christ helps us with our decision by giving us directions through His word. It is important that we not be doubleminded. Scripture teaches us that a doubleminded man is unstable not only in his walk of salvation but also in every area of his life, he is indecisive. If you are a warm Christian, God says he will spit you out of his mouth.

Today make that decision to follow after Christ, to do his will concerning the things in your life. Get into the Word of God and study, study, study and study. Spend time in prayer and meditation. Turn your plate down, fast. It is a whole lot easier to make up your mind when your mind is filled with more spiritual things than carnal things.

God wants to give you all that he has for you. It is up to you to have a made up mind, that you are going to serve him in spirit and in truth. What God has promised he is faithful to do.......

Make up your mind!!!

Changing For The Christ (Morning Glory- Inspirational Monday)

03/28/2016

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was " Changing For The Christ". Our scripture today was Hebrews 10:20.

By a new and living way which He consecrated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh.

If we're saved why is it that we still want to do the same things that we have confessed we no longer want to be apart of? According to what we have said with our mouth and have believed in our heart ( Romans 10:9) there must be a lifestyle change. Salvation is a free gift but deliverance is a process. The process of the change can only take place by daily communication with God through His son. Jesus is the reason why you and I have to live a sanctified life or a life that clearly separates us from the world. As a believer we can not reduce our new found lifestyle by co-mingling with the one we have left. We are in the world but not of it. We must talk different, walk different, be different. It is the Holy Spirit that will help make the difference in both of our lives.

Christ gives us a new and living way. The new and living way that Christ gives is found in the sacrifice of him dying on the cross so that you and I might have a right to the tree of life. As we discover this new life we start resisting the old man. For so long we have made the excuse of the "devil made me do it." The devil is no longer in control. The devil no longer has the power of influence over your life. At the mere mention of the name of Jesus, the devil and the forces of darkness have to back up, they flee. Call on the name of Jesus. As you and I call on the name of Jesus you will discover that everything that we need is in his name. Use the name of Jesus. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you into all truth. Don't let the enemy, the devil draft you back into his world. Christ has made you free from him and sin. If you and I are going to change for Christ, the real question becomes, do we want to change?

The new and living way is the best choice that you and I can make. The choice of choosing Christ is always the best choice. The challenge that you and I have, is the challenge of yielding ourselves completely to Him. Those areas where we have engaged in, which seemingly seem to be the stronghold in our lives, will require much prayer. Once again it is going to take the Holy Spirit to help you and I in these areas.

Change is always a good thing. However change is not always the popular thing. Changing for Christ is always the best choice that you and I can make. The benefits that come with the change are not to be compared with. Allow God to take control of your life. Learn to resist the devil by applying the word of God and he will flee from you.

Here are some helpful scriptures that will help aid you in the lifestyle change.....

Hebrews 10 chapter
Galations 5 chapter
Romans 5 chapter
Ephesians 3 chapter

There are plenty of other scriptures but start with these, they answer the why and the how to walk. Don't let people, places or things distract you from being all of what God has for you to be. Learn from your mistakes and trust that God is going to make the difference in your life through the power of the Holy Ghost.

You and I both need to change....Change is a on going process.....Trust God.....

Crisis Will Come ( Morning Glory - Instructional Wednesday )

03/16/2016

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday.  Our message today was" Crisis Will Come ". Our scripture today today was Philippians 4:13.

I can do all things through Christ that strengthen me.

Most of the time in our life we don't understand why things keep happening.  In other words we keep dealing with the same things over and over again. The life cycle keeps repeating itself. You and I have made the necessary changes, we pray , go to church, read our bible,  try to do what is right but still these alarming situations keep on happening. The question we are guilty of asking is , why? God why?

God would never put anything on us that we cannot bear. Scripture teaches us to cast our cares on the Lord because he cares for us. Galatians 6: 9, Be not weary in well doing for it due season,  you shall reap if you faint not. God when?

I really need for you to understand that you don't have to be doing anything wrong for crisis to come in your life. God could be trying to get something to you. God could be attempting to teach you a lesson in it. God could be looking to see if you are walking in pride or humility. Whatever it is, God, is about to bring greater in your life. Your set back is not designed to make you feel the results of it but to prepare you for something greater.  All closed doors are not closed doors. All what seems to be pain, is really not pain. All frustrations are really not to frustrate you. God has a plan for our lives.  It is important that we find what that plan is.

Crisis will come in our lives.  It is important that we find out, if this is something that we created or if it is something that God is allowing to take place in our lives because he wants to get something too or through us. God already knows what his plans are for our lives. The problems comes when we don't know. Today is a good day to ask the Holy Spirit to show you the plan that He has for your life. If he doesn't show you immediately then wait for Him to do so.

Wait on the Lord and be of good courage and he will strengthen the heart. Yes, God will strengthen you in the time of crisis. Don't miss the lesson or the blessing by devaluing the current situation.  God is looking for the vessel that is completely yielded to Him.  It is through true submission that we get our answers from God. Are you submitted?

Crisis will come but God's grace will keep you.....

The Spirit of Manipulation ( Morning Glory - Instructional Wednesday )

03/02/2016

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday.  Our message today was "The Spirit of Manipulation". Our scripture today was Psalms 5:11-12.

11) But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice :let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them:let them also that love Thy name be joyful in Thee.

12) For Thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt Thou compass him as with a shield.

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday and boy was it a great move of God. Our call today was a continuation from yesterday's call, which was Relationship Tuesday.  Our message on yesterday was" Grace In My Relationship". We all need the grace of God in our relationships. It is through God's grace that you and I will mature in our relationships.

As you know over the past few sessions we have been dealing with the Grace of God. Grace is the finished work of Christ. I need the grace of God to manifest a relationship that blossoms in His sight. Grace is the free and unmerited favor of God as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. God wants to shower us with His grace in our relationships (inclusive ). We must remain yielded to Him so that when He speaks we not only listen but we obey.

As a for mentioned our inspiration was part two from yesterday.  The power of God was so awesome on the line on yesterday.  A call that should have only lasted 30 minutes ended up being an hour long. All the glory belongs to God.

Being yielded to the Holy Spirit, the call shifted. The Holy Spirit started giving us nuggets to identify some of the things that causes problems in our relationships. As we neared the end of the call the  Holy Spirit said, " Be careful of the Spirit of Manipulation". There is good  manipulation and bad. I know that does not sound good in it's presentation but there are times when you and I have been convinced  to do the right thing even if it benefits someone else.

Manipulation or the act to manipulate is to manage or influence skillfully, especially in an unfair manner. Manipulation to adapt, to change to suit one's purpose or advantage.  Manipulation always starts in the heart, then it goes to the mind, then the mouth speaks. Out of the heart flows the issues of life then the mouth shall speak. Manipulation is a selfish spirit.  The antidote to combat manipulation is the Spirit of Discernment.  We need to ask God if we don't know, if someone is trying to influence skillfully in an unfair manner or if they are trying to get you to adapt or change to suit one's purpose or advantage. Scripture teaches us that in all of our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Don't allow yourself to get overwhelmed by the pressure of words from people. Take the time to ask the Holy Spirit  to lead and guide you. If you are going to have a relationship that is manipulation free it will take the Holy Spirit to show you.

Here are some helpful instructions :

1. The antidote for manipulation is the Spirit of Discernment.

2. Reduce argumentative conversation,  it always leads to manipulation by one or both parties.

3. All battles are not needed to win, choose your battles carefully,  it can lead to manipulation.

4. Study to be quiet, a soft answer kills wrath.

5. Manipulation always leads to selfish behavior

6. Give the Holy Spirit access to all ideas and concerns, He wants to lead and guide you

7. Real love always displays self-less acts of kindness, which eliminates manipulation

8. The grace of God will cover you when you cannot cover yourself.

9. Spirituality must increase,  while the things of the flesh decrease

10. Don't get fooled by charismatic conversation

11. Jesus Christ died for us so that we would not fall into the snares of the devil

12. Grow in grace, you grow in God

Hoping it blessed you!!
