The Prerequisite to Deliverance (Morning Glory- Inspirational Monday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was "The Prerequisite to Deliverance." Our scripture for today was 2 Chronicles 7:14.

If my people which are called by my name, would humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sins and heal their land.

In the times that you and I are living in, what a word that God would give us on this Inspirational Monday. The message of Grace. God wants you and I to experience more of Him. In order for you and I to experience more of Him there is a prerequisite. God gives us clear and concise instructions for a delivered life. I am not sure but if you are like me you have dealt with enough stuff during the coarse of your that it safe to say that something needs to change, something needs to happen, a deliverance needs to take place.

In  2 Chronicles 7:14. Solomon shares some good stuff not only for the children of Israel but it is words that will help you and I today if we can follow the instructions given. I no longer want to live my life incomplete. I no longer want to live my life empty of the fullness of what God has for me. I ultimately want what Solomon calls "the healed land."

There are four things that Solomon says you and I must do to accomplish the healed land. The first thing he let's us know is that if you and I say we belong to Christ, we have His character, we answer only to Him we must humble ourselves. Humility is key. We must kill the flesh on a daily basis. Paul says, " I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, yet not I but the Christ that lives in me." Paul reminds us that if we say we belong to Christ we have got to do just what he did. It is hard to yield everything and I mean everything to God but with the aid of the Holy Spirit both you and I can do it. The healed land will require you and to remain in a place of humility. Stay humble.

Secondly, Solomon let's us to know to have the healed land we must pray. Prayer is so essential in the life of the believer. How can you and I say without any reservations that we are in relationship with the Father if we have not yet learned to pray. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all of our heart and lean not to our own understanding. The scripture goes on to let us know that if we acknowledge Him in all our ways He would direct our paths. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says," Pray without ceasing." Praying is an absolute must for the believer. If we are going to get answers to our concerns or problems in life, if we are going to get the directions that we need to know, or the help that we need, it is going to take prayer. God wants you and I to commune with Him through His son Jesus Christ. Prayer takes you and I from relating to relationship. Prayer is not monologue, prayer is dialogue. God want to hear from you but he also wants you to wait so that you can hear from him. Learn to have prayer, as a way of life.

Thirdly, Solomon says that if we are going to have a healed land it is going to happen by seeking the face of God. How much time do you spend on the presence of God? How much time do you spend reading your bible? How much time do you spend meditating? How much time are you in service worshiping while working? It is so vital that if you and I are going to experience the healed land we must be in the face of God all of the time. This is about fellowship, this is about communing with Him. Remaining in the presence of God, will limit the time you spend in wanting to do things that goes against the order of God. In seeking the face of God, you and I get everything that we need. Stay in His presence. Seek the face of God.

Lastly, which is probably the most important to obtain the healed land. Solomon says we must turn from our wicked ways. The bible teaches us that because of one man's sin, sin entered the world. We came into this world a sinner. Yes we came out of our mother's womb a sinner, the title that is. It wasn't until we gave our heart to God that we no longer was a sinner it was because we confessed with our mouth and believed in heart that Jesus died and rose again that we are now saved. Glory to God! We now have eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Salvation is free but deliverance is a process. If you and I are going to experience the healed land we must remove ourselves from demonic activity. There must be a turning away from, you and must stop doing those things that goes against the order of God. Anything that displeases God is wickedness. The power to stop anything that goes against the order of God for our life is in the name of Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you strongly in this area. Plead the blood of Jesus, it will never lose it's power.

Solomon gives us four things that will bring about deliverance in our life. If you and I can humble ourselves, pray, seek the face God and turn from wickedness, we will then hear from heaven, God will forgive our sins and ultimately bring the healed land. I need everything about me healed. The healed land is holistic. The healed land encompasses everything.
