Morning Glory ( Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today was " Pointed Worship". Our scripture today was Psalms 100 :4.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.

As we are moving toward recognizing of the birth of our our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we continue our inspiration on this Relationship Tuesday by admonishing you continue to spend time with the Father. Jesus is the reason for the season. I truly understand that those words are echoed all across  the world but as a believer do we really mean it. Do we really mean that Jesus is the only reason that we have this season or are we being commercialized like the world?

David the author of our Psalms today reminds us how we must enter into the presence of God. Our worship must be pointed, it must be clear who we are worshiping and why we are worshipping. David encourages us to come into his presence  with thanksgiving  and when we arrive in his courts it should be with praise. David goes on to say we ought to have a grateful heart and bless the name of our God. God really gets excited when you know his name. Our worship and our time spent with the Father needs to be directed to him and to him alone.

Don't  let you time with God just be about you asking him for things let your time with him be more about worshipping him and thanking him. In this time so designated to the birth of Christ what gift are you bringing him? What are you going to offer him? I made up in mind while  in transit on yesterday that because  of what God is and has been to me there are just some things I just won't do anymore and I do wholeheartedly know this is just my reasonable service. What are you going to give up and not do anymore?

Make sure that your worship is pointed to Him. There are so many things that we pay homage too but the real honorable mention is Christ. If you take out the time and think about what he has done for mankind as a whole and then individually you and I both would  worship  clearly on another level. With out a doubt make sure your worship is for real and that it points to Christ.
