A Conformed Mind ( Morning Glory - Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning  Glory it was Relationship Tuesday.  Our message today was " A Conformed  Mind In Christ Jesus ."Our scripture today was Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove that which good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday.  Our message today once again informs us of the importance of the mind. The importance of you and I understanding that we have to have the mind of Christ. Paul once again has informed  us the necessity to have a renewed mind. Paul says we have a mind, but we must make certain that we do not conform it to the things of the world. As a believer we must remember that we were born in sin and shapen in iniquity.  Our mind at birth needs to be changed. Remember we are in the world  but not of it. As a believer we have to have the mind of Christ.

The renewed mind is an on going process. When our mind is renewed we can prove that which is good, we also know what is acceptable and the perfect will  of God for our lives. Once again the renewed mind is a process. My mind is renewed by, everyday spending time with the Father. When we spend time with the Father by prayer and the reading of His word we develop a different mindset. The mindset  we develop is the mind of Christ.

Life offers you and I many different challenges. It is important that we make sure that we utilize the Holy Spirit in every situation of our lives. God wants you and I to maintain our walk with him by being constant fellowship. It is through the fellowship of the reading of His word, that all of the decisions that you and I will make, all of the issues, problems that you and I will face, we will be able to handle. It will become a very true reality that when we allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us, we will be able to handle it because we have a mind change.

The mind change is a process once again. We must stay in fellowship with the Father by reading of the Word of God. Without reading the Word of God and meditating on it day and night, you and I will ultimately revert back to acting like the world. Once again the mind change is an on going process. Everyday you and I should want to mature in the things of God. Everyday it should be our desire that we continue to take off the old man and put on the new man. When we  put on the new man we take on Christ.

We find Christ in the Word of God. We find Christ by praying and hearing his voice. Don't let the flesh continue to win the battle over the mind. We  can win the battle in our mind by praying and by reading the Word of God. God wants you and I to win battle in the mind. The mind is where the enemy, the devil comes (first). Without meditation on the things of God, it is impossible to combat the things the devil brings to our mind. When the enemy (devil) comes resist him and scripture teaches us he flee from us , not one way but several different ways. There is power in using the name of Jesus.

Make sure that you conform your mind to Christ Jesus,  it only happens by maintaining fellowship with Him.
