Be A Good Example

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today was " Be A Good Example ". Our scripture today was 1 Timothy 4:12.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

How are you living your life in the presence of others? How do others view you? Are you living so that everyone around you knows that Christ lives in you? Why do we feel how we live really doesn't matter? Salvation is a free gift but deliverance is a process. In other words, once I became saved, I have eternal life, but I am also in relationship with the Father through His son Jesus. It is only through reading the Word of God, it is only through prayer and meditation on the Word of God both day and night, that the things I use to do, I just don't do anymore.

Whether you know it or not you are a spiritual role model. Your family and friends watch every move made. The people on your job look to see how you behave, and believe me they are taking mental notes. Right now you need to ask yourself, are you being a good example to them as a believer? It is very hard to give instructions to those who we see everyday when we ourselves are not buying into what we are saying, by the way we behave. As a believer your behavior serves as a positive role model to others. Our actions on a day to day basis should be based upon kindness, faithfulness,  and the love for the Lord and to others.

Phillips Brooks said, " Be such a man, and live such a life, that if every person were such as you, and every life a life like yours, this earth would be God's Paradise." Create an environment by using the Holy Spirit as the enabler to help with being that example that God intended for us to be. Don't  let your witness be put in jeopardy because he are not walking the way God would have you to walk. The hand of God is on your life, allow Him to do His best work through you..
