Controlling Your Mind ( Morning Glory - Take Off Thursday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Take off Thursday. Our message today was "Controlling Your Mind ". Our scripture today was 1 Peter 1:13.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought into you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

A wise scholar once said, " A mind is a terrible thing to waste." The idea of not being able to posses value in something like the mind is detrimental not only to your natural way of living but most importantly your spiritual walk.

Today on Morning Glory it was Take Off Thursday. As you know this week we have been dealing with the mind. I strongly recommend that you go back and read the other inspirations for the week, I promise it will bless you.

Our inspiration today continues again with the mind. As a believer you and I must get in control of our mind. Peter in our our scripture text for today starts by strongly suggesting to us to gird up the loins of our mind. In other words Peter  is letting  us know that is is our responsibility to get in control of our mind. Once again a mind change is a process. We must not be conformed to thinking of the world. The mind must be renewed daily.

Prayer and the reading of the Word of God affords us the opportunity to change our mind and our mindset. It is only through these actions that the process begins. It is a journey, to get to the place, where you are on the right path to controlling your mind. Scripture teaches us that if we resist the devil he will flee from us. The devil will not flee if we are not in control of our mind, he will continue, to come and come until ultimately he has us where he wants us.

If you and I remain sober and hope to the end for the grace that is bought unto us by the revelation of Jesus Christ the results are a controlled mind. A controlled mind prepares us for anything. In other words a controlled mind allows us to operate with self-control. Remember the Holy Spirit will aid both you and I in obtaining self-control, it is one of the nine manifestation fruit gifts our character gifts.

The responsibility of controlling our mind is up to you and I. It is a choice.  We choose to either to yield ourselves to God or to give into the desires of our flesh. A controlled mind will enable you and I to be better effective here in the earth as well as being efficient in our Kingdom walk.

Control your mind, you control your life.

Peace In My Mind ( Morning Glory - Instructional Wednesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday. Our message today was "Peace In My Mind". Our scripture today was Isaiah 26:3.

Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Today on morning glory it was instructional Wednesday. If you have spent any time with me on the line or if you have read any of my Wednesday  blogs you know that this is a prophetic day, concerning inspirations. It is a time where God speaks to us directly and gives us clear and concise instructions so that we can be effective here in the earth. I am so excited about Instructional Wednesdays because it affords us the opportunity to not only hear from God but also to be able to go back and read over and over again what God has said.

In this season of our lives, we are going to need to have positive reinforcement so that we maintain what it is, that we desire to accomplish in our spiritual lives as well as in our personal lives. Instructioal Wednesday's gives us that opportunity. However, on the other days of the week God still speaks to us and that's good news in times when people don't know or have the ability to hear the voice of God. Glory to His name!!!!!!

If you have read the last two blogs for the week you know that we are dealing with the mind. Take the time and go back and read the previous two blogs, I am pretty sure that it will bless you.

Once again our inspiration finds us dealing with the mind.  Our scripture today lets us know that God gives us peace in every situation of our lives, if our mind is stayed on Him. God has a proven track record and we trust him. Peace comes when your mind is stayed on Christ.  Peace comes when there is a realization of proven victories.  I can not stress to you enough how important  it is that you and I keep our minds on Christ. If we have the mind of Christ, everything we need, we will find is in Him. Get the mind of Christ, it will make the difference in your life.

Here are the instructions for this Wednesday,  I hope it blesses you.

1. The devil can only come in through the mind, don't let him.

2. When negative thoughts or ideas come in your mind rebuke it in the name of Jesus.

3. Your mind must be trained to process only that which is good, it happens by reading the Word of God.

4. Negative thinking always produces negative actions.

5. Be careful of what you allow yourself to hear and read, it ultimately will stay in your mind.

6. Create an environment that produces positive results.

7. Our minds (thinking) should match the the mind of Christ

8. If we think like the world we will act like the world

9.God proves what is good and acceptable and his prefect will for our lives when our mind is renewed.

10. To  have a mind change is to have a change in spiritual discipline

11. The Word of God ensures us to have a different prospective on everything concerning our lives, as it relates to thinking.

12. Guard your mind and God will protect it.

A Conformed Mind ( Morning Glory - Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning  Glory it was Relationship Tuesday.  Our message today was " A Conformed  Mind In Christ Jesus ."Our scripture today was Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove that which good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday.  Our message today once again informs us of the importance of the mind. The importance of you and I understanding that we have to have the mind of Christ. Paul once again has informed  us the necessity to have a renewed mind. Paul says we have a mind, but we must make certain that we do not conform it to the things of the world. As a believer we must remember that we were born in sin and shapen in iniquity.  Our mind at birth needs to be changed. Remember we are in the world  but not of it. As a believer we have to have the mind of Christ.

The renewed mind is an on going process. When our mind is renewed we can prove that which is good, we also know what is acceptable and the perfect will  of God for our lives. Once again the renewed mind is a process. My mind is renewed by, everyday spending time with the Father. When we spend time with the Father by prayer and the reading of His word we develop a different mindset. The mindset  we develop is the mind of Christ.

Life offers you and I many different challenges. It is important that we make sure that we utilize the Holy Spirit in every situation of our lives. God wants you and I to maintain our walk with him by being constant fellowship. It is through the fellowship of the reading of His word, that all of the decisions that you and I will make, all of the issues, problems that you and I will face, we will be able to handle. It will become a very true reality that when we allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us, we will be able to handle it because we have a mind change.

The mind change is a process once again. We must stay in fellowship with the Father by reading of the Word of God. Without reading the Word of God and meditating on it day and night, you and I will ultimately revert back to acting like the world. Once again the mind change is an on going process. Everyday you and I should want to mature in the things of God. Everyday it should be our desire that we continue to take off the old man and put on the new man. When we  put on the new man we take on Christ.

We find Christ in the Word of God. We find Christ by praying and hearing his voice. Don't let the flesh continue to win the battle over the mind. We  can win the battle in our mind by praying and by reading the Word of God. God wants you and I to win battle in the mind. The mind is where the enemy, the devil comes (first). Without meditation on the things of God, it is impossible to combat the things the devil brings to our mind. When the enemy (devil) comes resist him and scripture teaches us he flee from us , not one way but several different ways. There is power in using the name of Jesus.

Make sure that you conform your mind to Christ Jesus,  it only happens by maintaining fellowship with Him.

The Mind of Christ ( Morning Glory - Inspirational Monday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was "The Mind of Christ". Our scripture today was Philippians 2:5.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was about having the right kind of mind. The right kind of mind consist of having the mind of Christ. In our scripture for today,  Paul is saying," Let this mind be in you which was  also in Christ Jesus." We must have the mind of Christ.  We cannot conduct  ourselves like the world. We cannot  think like the world,  talk like the world, or be apart of worldly activities. As a believer we are in the world but not of it.

When you and I received Christ as our Lord and Saviour, it was a free gift. However, change or deliverance is a process. If you and I are to have the mind of Christ, it will take constantly meditating on the Word of God and prayer. It is through both actions that there is a mind change. Yes, we change our mind by staying in fellowship with the Father.

I personally know to well what it is like to try to be one way in church but when I left I found myself acting another way. I still was saved but I didn't  have a mind change. At that point in my life, I had only given God my heart but not a committed life to walk and talk as He would have me too, away from the church. If you are honest with yourself you probably have done the same thing. We can no longer be pretenders, either we are going to be who we say we are or not. It is important that you and I get to the place that we want to change for God. It really  isn't about man it is about God but by default man is watching. Our life should be about pleasing God. Our life should  be about serving in the Kingdom and serving with the mind of Christ.

Many years ago slogan came out, " What Would Jesus Do." Imagine what the world would be like if every Christian responded like Christ, what a world this would be. There must be a mind change. We must adopt a thinking that  I must have the mind of Christ. When operate using the mind of Christ, that the principles of God's Word we find ourselves living better lives
Our lives become complete in Him.

Take the time today and practice training your mind. Today don't allow any negative thought, idea or action to have residence in your mind, rebuke it in Jesus name. Allow the Holy Spirit to show you how manage wholesome thinking. It is a true saying, " The mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Get the mind of Christ and you will ultimately have a better life. God wants the best for you, you and I need to want the best for ourselves.

Never Forget To Say Thank You (Morning Glory - Praise Him Friday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Praise Him Friday. Our message today was " Never Forget To Say Thank You". Our scripture today was Psalms 107:1

O give thank unto the Lord, for he is good; and his mercy endureth forever.

What an exciting week of inspirations. God really took the time to share with us key information in aiding us to be effective in our 2016. God really wants you and I, has members of the Body of Christ to excel in every area of our lives. It is so important that we don't  fail to recognize all of what God has done, and all of what God is doing. Yes, we must never forget to tell God thank you.

Gratitude is so important to people but is so much more important to God. Scripture teaches us that God inhabits the praises of His people. God really gets excited when you and I praise Him for the many things that He has done in our lives. Not only should we be polite to man, but we really need to adopt the idea of being polite to God. When God repeatedly continues to bless you, even when you don't deserve it, the proper response is, thank you.

We show God how much we appreciate Him, not only in word but also in deed. A true sign of appreciation of what God has done in your life is really displayed in our conduct. Are you obeying  God? Are you yielded to Him? Are you working in your local assembly.  Are spreading the good news about Jesus Christ? The answers to the for a mentioned questions,  are just a few examples of how you can show God thanks.

Worship always acknowledges God for who he is, but praise is the reflection for what God has done. For God sake, please identify who He is in worship,  but never forget to praise Him by saying thank you.

Psalms 150 says," Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, praise ye the Lord." As long as there is breath in your body, as long as you are in your right mind and have partial capacity of your body parts, you owe God a praise.

Let God know how much you appreciate him. Never forget to say thank you.The lack of appreciation and praise shows God a heart that is ungrateful. Don't  be an in - grate. God has done too much for you and for me. Remember to always  say thank you..........

Careful Consideration ( Morning Glory -Take Off Thursday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Take off Thursday.  Our message today was "Careful Consideration ". Our scripture today was Philippians 3:16.

However,  let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.

Today on Morning Glory it was Take off Thursday. Our message today was clear and concise. The Holy Spirit let us know that there is a standard that must be set as well as kept. God is requiring that you and I be all that we can be for him.

Paul here in this Philippians 3:16 says to us that we must cleave to the standard, the standard that the Holy Spirit has set before us. Christ is the the perfect example. You and I must live as Christ would have us to live. Paul says, "Let us therefore as many as are perfect (mature) to have this attitude and if anything if you have a different attitude then God says he's going to reveal it to you." God is going to show you exactly what it is, that you should be doing.

It is imperative that as we are moving throughout our 2016 that we understand that Christ is to be the head of our lives. We can not look like the world.The writer lets us know that we are in the world but not of it. Christ has given us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit embodies  nine manifestation fruit gives, the character gifts. These gifts show us how you and I are to behave, Galatians 5:22-23.You and I need to make sure that we adopt these character gifts as a way of life. If we're going to be effective here in the earth it is going to take the character of the Holy Spirit to help us, to be all that we can be.

Don't let life and the circumstances that life brings stop you from being what God has called you to be. Take careful consideration, we must take heed to the Word of God.Take careful consideration, we must pay attention to those that are around us, less they be lost because of our behavior. Take careful consideration, that God is for us and He is more than the whole world against us.

On this Take off Thursday we are to have the consideration of Christ. He paid it all for you and I. Christ died on the cross that you and I might have a right to the tree of life. Yes we need to have careful consideration, consider your ways. Consider what you're saying, consider what it is that you are doing, you and I must never lessen the standard of Christ.

As a believer we cannot act like the world, we can not be like the world, we must guard ourselves against worldly activity.
The world will not able to point the finger at us and say that we look like them. If we act like the world, the question that will be raised,  why is a change needed?

Ladies and gentlemen I want you to understand today that we must take in consideration, the ways of Christ. Let Christ be the center of the way you and I behave. Let Christ be, through the aid of the Holy Spirit, your keeper. The Pentecostals would  say, "He is a keeper, if you want to be kept."

Remember not only is God watching you but people are watching as well. Don't  let your witness be jeopardy, by mismanaged conduct. By all means please take careful consideration. Christ paid it all, so you and I won't have too.

Daring To Deliver (Morning Glory -Instructional Wednesday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday.  Our message today was "Daring to Deliver". Our scripture today was Philippians 4:6

Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Well it is another day that God has made and I am going to rejoice and be glad in it. Our inspiration today brings us awareness to the fact, that we must do something.

What is it that you want God to do in your life? What is it that you have personally set out to do for yourself,  such as your plans, goals and dreams? You and I must dare to deliver. In other words, we must have ridiculous faith. The writer in scripture let's us know that we can do all things through Christ that gives of the strength.  Don't let the circumstances of the world weigh you down so that you don't  experience the fullness of what God has for you.

We are now in the 20th day of 2016. All of what you and I need, to deliver in this season of our life, God has already provided for us. What you and I need to do is, use our faith. God has given every man a measure of faith. What are you doing with your measure? Is your faith growing? Are you daring? Are you adventurous? Are you sitting back just waiting for it to come to you or even someone to deliver it for you? I submit to you, that this is the season, that we invoke the presence of God with prayer, praise and faith. Yes, prayer, praise and faith. We need to get God's  attention while we are making attempts to deliver. Life and time are not at a stand still, you and I need to keep up.

As you know it is Instructional Wednesday. God always gives us clear instructions so that we can effectively do what it is that He has said we can do in this season of our lives . Our God never fails. If we continue to learn to obey while yielding ourselves to Him, we will begin to see different results.

Here are the instructions :

1. Use your faith: Delivering on the desired goal will require it.

2. Make sure there is specified times of prayer, praise and worship. These courses of action should take place along with your scheduled time services at your local assembly.

3. Ignore negativity : Negativity is like poisonous toxins. It can only be destroyed by positive antidotes. Take careful consideration to who you allow in your circle.

4. Failure in this season will not be bad. It is only going to help you to rely strictly on your spiritual senses. Rest in the arms of Jesus.

5. You can have it, if you really want it: Dare to deliver.

6. This package is a solo project. Stop trying to involve others.

7. The greater the faith, the greater the reward.

8. Be consistent,  it is important to pick it back up, by why stop in the first place?

9. Pay attention to the details. You will find favorable results in the details.

10. Make up in your mind that you have a resilient determination to produce.

11. Go and get it.

Moving Past My Disappointment ( Morning Glory - Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday.  Our message today was " Moving Past My Disappointment ". Our scripture today was  Proverbs 16:20.

He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord , happy is he.

Today on Morning Glory of course, as you know by now it was Relationship Tuesday.  Our message today helps us to move past all disappointments where my relationships are concerned. Disappointments in any relationship will come, the important thing is that when disappointments come we handle it God's way. Psalm 37: 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Proverbs 10:17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction : but he that refusseth reproof erreth. We must find away to handle our disappointments in a loving and informative manner.

There is not one relationship or connection that will afford us the pleasure  of not being let down from time to time. The element of people weighs heavy, man will fail you. It is only the relationship with God, that is let down free.

What do I do when my expectation for one thing  does not happen and something else arrives. What do I do, when the wind is let out of my sail? What do I do, when the air is let out of my ballon? My level of joy and happiness has now been depleted. My enthusiasm has now a temperature below freezing, in other words now I can really careless what happens. As we say in our culture, "It is what it is". My brother and sister there is an answer in moving past  your disappointments and dispair, but there must be a heart to do so. It will always be a matter of the heart.

Every relationship will require selfless acts of kindness. I understand for the most part we live and move in selfish society. For any relationship to work sometimes allowing what you want or expect to happen, yields to what is really happening at that moment. In other words what you want is not presently happening, so you posture yourself to accept what is being presented in love. I am not saying or suggesting that at points in any relationship some of your wants and desires should not be fulfilled, but what I am saying if they are not operate or handle it by love and through love.

One of the nine manifestation fruit gifts found in Galatians 5 is love and another is temperance (self-control ). All nine manifestation fruit gifts of the Holy Spirit are readily available but it will definitely take the two for mentioned. In times of disappointment the operation of love is needed and please add temperance  (self-control ) to this to insure resolution.

God wants you and I to move past the disappointments that come in our relationships. If you and I operate in love and temperance, forgiveness is soon available.  We can never move past the disappointments that come in our lives if we are not willing  to forgive. Once again, there must be selfless acts of kindness  for a relationship to be wholesome, thriving and loving. We must learn to forgive.

How important is it for you to have  your way? If it high on the radar you are going to have some problems.  Relationships are always a give and take. You give some you take some. I promise if you operate by love and through love it will balance  itself out.

Move past the disappointments that come in your relationships. Operate with love and temperance,  don't forget to forgive because the next challenging moment will soon arrive.

God Still Has The Final Say (Morning Glory - Inspirational Monday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was "God Has The Final Say". Our scripture today was Romans 2:11.

For there is no respect of persons with God.

Today on Morning Glory of course, it was Inspirational Monday.  As we take the time to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's holiday, we need to realize that what God has done for one, he has the power to do it for another. With God there is no respect of persons. God really does not have favorites even though some will suggest he does. However, I believe it because they recognize a long with myself that we just don't  deserve  it. Praise God for your blessings. God has the final say, not man. Glory to God!!!

On this Inspirational Monday it felt more like Instructional Wednesday. God gave us a word of hope and a word of instruction. God says,  " The blessing is in route." Stop concerning yourself with the "People Factor" if God did it for one, he can do it for you. Stop worrying about those that have and those that have not. It is God that chooses the when, the where, the why and the how in our lives. It is important that you and I  stay focus on yielding ourselves to Him, so that, we experience all that God has for us in our life. Pay attention to the details of your life. As a believer you and I have to much to do in obeying God, that we really  don't  have the time to concern ourselves with others.  Remember God has the final say.

Once again, God let us know that our blessing is in route. Yes, the blessing that God has designed for you as well as for my life, is in transit.  God gave us clear instructions in receiving this prophetic word over our lives. Here is what God said :

1. Stay focused: It is the devil who is sending the distractions.  Know when it is God, that is speaking. People,  places and things come only to aid in helping  you lose focus on what it is God has said about your life, or your plans, goals and ideas. Your blessing is in route. God has the final say.

2. Be a servant to silence : God wants you and I to study to be silent. We cannot hear God and understand what He is saying clearly when there is so much movement in our ear. God is going to give you clues, ideas,  principles and strategies.  It is vital that in this season there is a reduction in how much speaking is being done. In this season more listening has to take place.  Your blessing is in route.  God has the final say.

3. Seal it with a praise: God wants to see if you can praise Him before it really happens. God wants to see if there is an appreciation for what He has already done.  Don't stop your praise. It is in your praise that you will get God's attention.  If you and I praise Him in advance for it, the blessing might just arrive sooner than later. Your blessingis in route. God has the final say.

4. If you are consistent with God, God will be consistent with you. The reality of that statement is God is always consistent with us. You and I have been guilty of starting, then stopping, starting then stopping.  When are we going to stay the course. I will tell you when, RIGHT NOW. I decree and declare that today we will be consistent in what it is God has placed in our hands and our times of worship, praise and service to Him. Amen, amen, amen!!! Your blessing is in route. God has the final say.

I don't  know what you are believing God for, but God told me to tell you, it is in route. Trust God, believe God and it will come to pass in your life.

Can You Believe ( Morning Glory -Take Off Thursday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Take Off Thursday.  Our message today was "Can You Believe". Our scripture today was Mark9:23.

Everything is possible to the one who believes. ( Holman CSB)

Today on Morning Glory it was Take Off Thursday.  Our inspiration today started with God speaking  four prophetic words over our lives. Here is what the Holy Spirit said  to us:

1. You and I have in us what we need to handle and conquer everything that goes against God's  original plan for our lives.

2. Don't look back. Stay focused..

3. Decree and Declare that you will operate in the area that God has called you to walk in. Put your angels to work.

4. God's arms are long enough and wide enough to handle your  issues. Give everything to God.

Let God rule and super rule your life.

Can you believe?  Our scripture today let's us know that if we can believe anything is possible.  Mark 11:24 Whatsoever things you desire when you pray, believe that  you receive it and you shall have it. The Hebrew writer let's us know that without faith it is impossible to believe him, for they that come to God, must first believe that he is God and that he is a rewarder to them that diligently seek him.

Believing is a matter of the heart. Believing is a matter of choosing that God can do it.
Believing is a matter not operating in fear nor in doubt.
Believing is a matter of knowing that God can do it, even if he chooses not too.

This list can go on and on. The question I want to raise , can you believe?

Why not trust God in every area of your life.  Why not believe beyond what you can see or even capable of doing yourself.

Believe that God can do it. Believe that everything is possible to the one that believes.

This is the year you can't  pay attention to what it looks likes. Trust that everything is possible, if you can believe.

Lastly, if you are listening to people concerning  all of your affairs,  your definitely not giving room for God to speak. Allow God to speak. Allow God to manage your affairs. Allow God to reveal to you step by step what it is you need to be doing. It is God that turns possibilities into what is possible but you and I must be willing to believe.

Managing Your Heart, Manage Your Life ( Morning Glory- Instructional Wednesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday. Our message today was "Manage Your Heart,  Manage Your Life". Our scripture today was Proverbs 4:23.

Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.

Today on Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday.  This is the day that is set aside to hear precise instructions concerning our life. It is the prophetic part of our inspiration. So often God shares with us important details,  ideas and strategies to be successful here in the earth. It is vital that we grab hold to what it is that God is saying because it will ensures that you and I have success.

If you have been on the line with me any length of time you know that over the past few weeks I have shared with you that it is a matter of the heart. All of what you and I do, flows from the heart. Yes, it is matter of the heart, it is always a heart issue.  Awareness is key. It is imperative that we guard our emotions, it ultimately decides for us the kind of life we will have. If you and I can manage our heart we will manage our life.

Michael Hyatt says, " It is not your experience,  knowledge,  or skills. Your heart is your most important leadership tool. All of what you and I will face in life, comes out of how much we manage our heart. It is were are emotions are stemmed from and it will dictate how we handle day, today activities. How important is the fulfillment of life to you? How much do value what you call life as it relates personal accomplishments ? At whatever level or temperature it might be, it will still be a heart issue. You and I must guard our heart.

Meditation on the Word of God will help in aiding, the guarding of the heart. We must be willing to spend quality time with God so that we  effectively manage our life. Proverbs 3 : 6 , In all of your ways acknowledge him,  and he will direct thy paths. God wants us to be effective here in the earth, why not give him everything?

Here are the instructions for this Wednesday :

1. Guard your heart because it is  extremely valuable : No one guards something that isn't worth anything.

2. The source of everything that we do comes from the heart: What really matters to you?

3. You are in constant battle,  protection of the heart is vital.

4. The results of a good life are the results of a managed life

5. Prepare yourself for sweat less victory

6. God's promises are true and are available to you, put yourself in position to receive them.

7. It isn't too late, you can start right now winning in life.

8. You can have it, if you really  want it. It will happen only by faith.

9. The struggle in your mind is over: Cast your care on the Lord,  because he cares for you.

10. There is a winner inside of you, let him out.

11. Stay focused,  it is only a matter of time and it will happen.

12. God wants to see your faith, it is what pleases him.

13. Face your challenges with the expectation on winning.

14. God did not change his mind about you. Stop changing your mind about him. Be consistent.

15. Learn from past mistakes by doing something different when the same situations arrive again.

16. Be careful that you don't engage with negative people it produce negative results

Be A Good Example

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today was " Be A Good Example ". Our scripture today was 1 Timothy 4:12.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

How are you living your life in the presence of others? How do others view you? Are you living so that everyone around you knows that Christ lives in you? Why do we feel how we live really doesn't matter? Salvation is a free gift but deliverance is a process. In other words, once I became saved, I have eternal life, but I am also in relationship with the Father through His son Jesus. It is only through reading the Word of God, it is only through prayer and meditation on the Word of God both day and night, that the things I use to do, I just don't do anymore.

Whether you know it or not you are a spiritual role model. Your family and friends watch every move made. The people on your job look to see how you behave, and believe me they are taking mental notes. Right now you need to ask yourself, are you being a good example to them as a believer? It is very hard to give instructions to those who we see everyday when we ourselves are not buying into what we are saying, by the way we behave. As a believer your behavior serves as a positive role model to others. Our actions on a day to day basis should be based upon kindness, faithfulness,  and the love for the Lord and to others.

Phillips Brooks said, " Be such a man, and live such a life, that if every person were such as you, and every life a life like yours, this earth would be God's Paradise." Create an environment by using the Holy Spirit as the enabler to help with being that example that God intended for us to be. Don't  let your witness be put in jeopardy because he are not walking the way God would have you to walk. The hand of God is on your life, allow Him to do His best work through you..

Growing in Character and Maturity

Today on Morning Glory it was Inspirational Monday. Our message today was " Growing in Character  and Maturity". Our scripture  today was Romans 12:2.

Do not be confirmed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may decent what is good, pleasing,  and perfect will of God. (Holman, CSB)

One of the greatest things you and I can do in life grow. Unfortunately we can grow two ways. We can grow forward or we can grow moving backwards. In other words we grow in the area of not making progress.

Norman Vincent Peale and the following advice for believers of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities. " Ask the God who made you to keep remaking you." What great advice, but often gone ignored.

When you and I cease to grow, either emotionally or spiritually,  we do ourselves and injustice where our life is concerned. But, if we take the time to get in the Word of God, and yield ourselves to His will, and obey Him, we will continue to make progress, not only spiritually but naturally.

Our lives and our character are formed by the many thoughts and choices that we make every day. Each day, you and I make decisions that can strengthen our character or lessen it. It going to be a matter of choice. What choice will you make today that will determine your level of character and maturity?

We must grow in both areas. When we choose to honor our Lord and King with our thoughts, our prayers, and our actions, we keep growing.

"A Christian is never in the state of completion, but always in the process of becoming," says Martin Luther. Our Christian growth is an on going process. God's plan for our guidance is for us to grow gradually in wisdom  before we get to the cross roads of life.

Today, think about the choices and the decisions you have made in the beginning of this 2016. Are the these choices helping your character and maturity? If not then do your best to take a self evaluation and start right now making the necessary changes so that you can grow in character and maturity.

Together our prayer should be that God helps us to grow in His wisdom. When we study His Word our prayer should be that we obey Him. Let the power of God's Word grow you up. Every day should be a precious journey with the Father.

Moving Beyond Fear ( Morning Glory- Praise Him Friday)

Today on Morning Glory it was Praise Him Friday. Our message today was " Moving Beyond Fear". Our scripture today was Psalm 34:4.

I sought the Lord, and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.

Today on Morning Glory the challenge that was presented to us was, can we move beyond fear? The decision to face fear instead of running from it is always an exercise in character building.

You and I live in a world that can be, at times, a frightening place, simply because of what see going on in it. We see a place that can be disappointing. We see and live also in a place where life's losses and pain and agony  will cause us to live and operate in fear. But, with the help of Lord Jehovah we can recover from it all.

Christ has not given you the spirit of fear  but of love and of power and of a sound mind. The presence of fear goes against  God's  original plan for our lives. During the dark days of your life you must remember that Jesus will give you peace in the midst  of every challenging moment, where fear presents itself. Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 14:27, " Take courage! It is I. Don't  be afraid ."

Face your fears right now and with the help of the Father you can move past them. This  is not the season to be timid  or procrastinate because you are uncertain about what will happen. Leave the results up to God. Scripture teaches us to cast our cares on Him because He cares for us. Charles Stanley said, " When we meditate on God and remember the promises He has given us in His Word, our faith grows, and our fears are dissolved.

This is a beginning of a new year (2016), you have plans, goals and ideas that you want to accomplish. Don't  let anything stop you from doing it, especially not fear. Move beyond fear. Our lives are better when we operate in faith instead of fear. Fear is an enemy to God. It is faith that pleases Him. Trust God to handle those problems that are simply too big for you you to solve.

Take steps to confront and conquer fear. The first step is always the acknowledgement of God. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. God wants you and I to live fearlessly. It is through the meditation and the reading of His Word that it happens.

Living Life on Purpose

Today on Morning Glory it was Take Off Thursday.  Our message today was living on " Living on Purpose." Our scripture for today was Colossians 1:15-16.

Who in the image of the invisible God, the first born of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities,  or powers: all things were created by him and for him.

What did God put me here for? I am sure that along with me, you have asked yourself that same question. It might be thoughts of your future, the uncertainty of your plans, or even your next step. My brothers and sisters even if you don't know your plans or know what is in your future please know that God knows.

God has a plan for the entire world. God has a plan for you. He understands that plan thoroughly and he completely knows you as stated. In the book of Jeremiaha God says, " I know the plans that I have for you they are good and not evil, to give you hope to an expected end. Right now is a good time to ask God to reveal His plans for your life. He will make His plans known to you in His own time and in His own way. It is important that you yield yourself to Him so that He can show you the way and the paths that you should take concerning your life. You and I must live our lives on purpose. There must be a destination but embracing the journey is paramount.

Ask yourself right now, do I seek to discover God's purpose and plan for my life? If the answer is yes, then you must yield yourself to God. If you don't know your purpose or plan for your life start by asking the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. If you don't know the purpose and plan for your life you must have the faith that God will reveal it to you. Conform to the will God.

Know that even if the picture is unclear right now as you spend more time with God, he makes the picture clear. Be patient in seeking the purpose and plan for your life. God knows, and as you spend more time with Him you will know. Make sure that God is control of your life and He will reveal to you the purpose for your life. Ricky Warren says, " The greatest tragedy is not death, but to live without pupose."

Today make the most of your time and live on purpose......

Prophetic Words for Success ( Morning Glory - Instructional Wednesday )

Today om Morning Glory it was Instructional Wednesday. As you know Wednesday is designed to hear and get instructions from God.  In 2016 God wants you and I to be successful. This is the year that failure is not an option. This is the year that God shows up in your life in a more powerful way but it will only happen  by spending  time with him.

The time now is for you and I to walk in such away that the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding us into all truth. The primary responsibility of the Holy Spirit is to lead and guide us. We must allow the Holy Spirit to do so. In every area of your life this year the Holy Spirit's presence must be felt and seen in our life.

The conditions of your success will be determined by the surprising extent of thought. How you think about a certain situation or thing in your life will determine how much success you have with it. If you focus your thoughts and energies on good things, such as, your family, and yourself you will reap rich rewards. Success honors God.  3 John 3:2 Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth. God wants you and I to be successful. It is His utmost desire that you and I do so.

What is your focus today? Are you willing to focus your thoughts and energies on God's blessings and upon His will for your life? What will you turn your thoughts to, other things? Consider this, God created you in His own image and he wants you to experience joy and abundance. But, God will not force his joy up on you, you must claim it. When success comes in your life you will know that it only happened because of the power of the presence of the Holy Spirit and that will bring you joy. Today make sure your focus is on being successful at what God has placed in your hands, your ideas , thoughts and or dreams. You must put God first, in putting God first it ensures success in your life.

I am so excited to have a pastor like Bishop Stephen B Hall Sr. On the Saturday before the first Sunday of each month, my pastor takes out the time to speak into the lives of his sons and daughters in ministry, those that are pastors as well as those  that are in the local assembly. What an awesome man of God.  Here is the prophetic word that he spoke into our lives and through prayer and meditation God instructed  me to share them with you.

1. Anticipation- Expect the great of God to happen particularly in your life........

2. Preparation-  This is the year that God places the blessing in the hands of the one that is prepared.

3. Association - This is the year that you have to pay attention to the one you are connected to.

4. Separation - This is the year that you get rid of any unordained  relationships

5. Activation - If not now.......when?

If you and I take these 5 words of Prophetic Instruction in will insure that we have a successful 2016.

Praying for Results ( Morning Glory - Relationship Tuesday )

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday. Our message today was " Praying for Results ". Our scripture today was Matthew 21:22

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Today on Morning Glory it was Relationship Tuesday, however it was on the traditional Tuesday inspiration. It is the beginning of the year and God has lead me to posture us for the most incredible year yet.

Our inspiration today lead us to the subject of prayer. Making supplication to God. This year you and I will have to make sure that we find ourselves spending time with the the Father in prayer. As the old spiritual  saying goes, prayer is the key but faith unlocks the door. Prayer must be top on your list as of things to do, during the coarse of the day. 1 Thessalonians 5: 17 Pray without ceasing. Prayer will  make the difference.

Daily prayer and meditation is a matter of will and habit. You must willingly organize your time by carving out quiet moments with God, and you must form the habit of daily  worship. When you do, you will discover that no time is more precious than the silent moments you spend with God..

God promises that the prayers of the righteous according to James 5: 16 avails much, in other words it accomplishes things. God will never leave us nor forsake sake us. God promises always to answer our prayers but there will be times that when He answers, it is not always what we want and desire, it is what we need. God sends an open invitation for us for us to be still and to feel his awesome presence it happens through prayer. So why not pray. Start praying when you first wake up and make sure you make room for God to answer.

The quality of your spiritual life will be determined by the quality of your prayer life. Prayer changes things,  and it changes you. Today, instead of turning things over and over again in your mind, turn them over to God in prayer. Instead of worrying about the decisions of life that you have to make, why not ask God to lead the way. We must not limit our prayers to times of eating meals or when it is time to go to bed, pray consistently. Prayer is essential.

God is listening; He wants to hear from you; and you and I certainly need to hear from Him. Prayer connects us to God's  limitless potential.  This year engage in prayer and watch you get the results that you are in need of. Pray to get the results from God.

Be Careful of Where You Walk and Who You Walk With

 Psalm 1:1-3.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the council of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he does shall prosper. (NLKJV)

The year has come and and is almost gone and the new year is fastly approaching. The question I want to raise to you is , how are you walking? I think the better question is , how do you intend to walk ? As we end 2020 as a believer it is important that we are careful of where we walk and who  we are walking with? As 2020 ends you and I also should want to walk as God would have us to walk. It is important for us to understand that who we are walking with and where we are walking is vital. I want you to know that today is a good day to make up in your mind that you are going to walk as God would have you to walk as this year is soon to end.

Our text gives us clear instructions on how we should walk as well as who we should not be walking with. The first thing our text lets us know, we are considered blessed by not walking in the council of the ungodly. We have got to make a decision not to be entangled with those that are not equally walking with God and especially the one that offers unwise advise, that is advise that is not Kingdom centered. Secondly, our text lets us know that we should not stand in the path of sinners. I understand that you and I are in the world but not of the world but we must be careful to who we mingle with or walk with, who we spend our time in conversation with. It is important that kingdom people hang out with Kingdom people . We can not co mingle with the ungodly and expect godly results. Thirdly the text lets us know that we should not sit in the seat of the scornful.  As believer we must be careful of being judgemental or having a self-righteous disposition or even gossip chatter. People make mistakes and so will you. How do you intend to walk and who will you be walking with?

Christians are called to walk with God and to obey his commands. But, we live in a world that presents us with countless temptations to wander from God's path. These temptations have the potential to destroy us, in part, because they cause us to be dishonest with ourselves  and with others. We must pay attention this year to where we walk and who we are walking with.

There should be an extreme amount of enthusiasm in pleasing  God. Our text lets us know that we should delight in pleasing God and we should be meditating on His word both day and night. The results of walking right will afford you to be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. A tree needs water to grow. The Word of God is the water that we need to be rooted and grounded in him. When it is time to bring forth fruit in the right season it comes forth, and success will happen, in other words both you and I will prosper.

As the year ends, focus on making your walk with God count. Please be careful where you walk and who you are walking with.
